Shopee Singapore is proud to support the next generation of innovators through the Shopee–SUTD scholarship, with the aim of creating opportunities for undergraduate students under the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)’s Design and Artificial Intelligence programme. The donation of SGD $250,000 will go towards covering five students’ tuition fees and study-related expenses, allowing them to pursue their career goals in the technology sector. Deepavali was a joyous occasion at Shopee Singapore and Malaysia, as we made time to celebrate community and camaraderie for this Festival of Lights. We unleashed our creativity with a Diya painting workshop in Malaysia, where employees painted traditional oil lamps that symbolised the triumph of light over darkness. Meanwhile, in Singapore, we also participated in Rangoli art workshops to add vibrant colours to our workspace. Teams at Shopee brought out their spooktacular creativity as we celebrated Halloween to mark the end of October! 👻🎃 Shopee Taiwan threw an epic "Monster Halloween Party", where employees dressed in their most “monstrous” outfits or brought their favourite monster toys to work. Some even brought their little ones dressed up as little monsters as we welcomed family to join in on the fun. Meanwhile, in Shopee Indonesia, it was a fierce showdown in the best-dressed competition, with teams showing up in costumes that wowed us all. Shopee Indonesia has partnered with logistics provider PT. Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) to host the Gollaborasi programme in Jakarta and Bandung, benefitting over 200 Indonesian MSMEs. The initiative provided a platform for MSMEs to hone their creative and business skills to remain competitive in the digital era. Daniel Minardi, Director of Business Partnerships at Shopee Indonesia, said, "Jakarta and Bandung have many inspiring MSMEs keen to continue scaling up through our e-commerce platform. We have seen results of their success through our Shopee Export MSME Campus, which has trained thousands of MSMEs to achieve both domestic and international competitiveness, since its launch in 2021.
