We gave a creative brief to the People's Association communications team (instead of the other way round!) What went down during a recent content creation workshop hosted at our studio: 💭 Kai Yuan Ng shared insights from OGS on what makes a good story 🤳🏻 Adeline Tay gave a quick crash course on how to approach people and tips on making social media content 🏘️ Officers then had to put what they've learnt to practice, working in groups to create a TikTok video of interesting places and businesses around the estate Of course, there was some healthy competition to be voted as the winning group! Hello! I’m SY, a video intern at nOm! One of my most memorable experiences with nOm so far has been my very first shoot. It was for Kakak Marlina and her community fridge initiative. That shoot really set the tone for the rest of my internship, giving me a glimpse into the meaningful and engaging content that nOm creates. Hearing about Kakak Marlina’s struggles as a single mom deeply resonated with me, and learning how she became committed to giving back to her community as soon as she was able was incredibly inspiring and touching. I remember leaving that shoot feeling profoundly fulfilled and with a renewed sense of purpose. In my own small way, I felt like I was contributing to the community too. Hi there! I’m ST, an intern from OGS! This week, I have been asked to share a LinkedIn post to keep OGS on your radar! Since storytelling is at the heart of what we do, I thought it would be fun to share my own #WhyOGS story with you. As predictable as it might sound, I applied to OGS precisely because of their reputation for storytelling! My interest in storytelling began during a school module where I was introduced to data-driven storytelling projects by Jonathan J. Harris and Marrisa Korda. These projects helped me understand that data storytelling isn’t limited to just numbers and statistics; it can also encompass personal experiences and narratives. This sparked my interest in exploring different and creative ways to tell stories, ultimately leading me to discover Ribbit.FYI, OGS and Sincerely Singles. What fascinates me about storytelling is its ability to capture the essence of humanity—whether through people’s dedication to their passions or the ways love brings us together during tough times. The stories shared not only taught me lessons I wouldn't have learned otherwise, but they also provided comfort, reassuring me that I’m not alone in my feelings. Hence, being part of a team that enables others to share their stories feels meaningful and rewarding. It gives them a voice and helps them feel appreciated and seen.
