❗️Introducing our newest collaboration with Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP)❗️ In our tailored curriculum for NP, students explore the multifaceted nature of homelessness, going beyond stereotypes to uncover the silenced struggles of the homeless. They navigate virtual environments to decide where homeless individuals perform essential activities like sleeping and showering. By understanding the emotional turmoil behind these decisions, students develop a deeper empathy for the homeless. But that's not all! This collaboration featured special guests: Ms Lilian Ong, Director of Social Work at New Hope Community Service (NHCS), and Mr Lim, a beneficiary of NHCS. Together, they engaged students in insightful discussions, offering invaluable perspectives and firsthand experiences💡. 🚩 Bringing our metaverse to a Post-Secondary Education Institution was truly a milestone for Jalan Journey. #ACEStartupSpotlight:🔒Unlocking empathy and action through gamified virtual experiences, Jalan Journey motivates students to champion social causes through meaningful volunteering. Jalan Journey was born from the dedication of co-founders Harrison Chong and Sricharan Bala, who, after years of hands-on volunteer work and founding Comm.UnitySG, recognised the challenge of imparting values education to students. Driven by a desire to ease the burden on teachers and improve the teaching of values, they explored various mediums for over 2 years and found that gamification was the most effective.
