  • We don't need to be influencers to create influence—we only need to be okay with ourselves and own our voice. As a business, this can be challenging, especially with multiple approvals from stakeholders, which can create bottlenecks for distributing content and advancing ideas beyond the initial conception stage. But it doesn't have to be that way. Think #SOPs! Management loves SOPs because they provide clear guidelines that align business goals and branding for everyone involved. Think Branding Guidelines—but now add Social Content Guidelines. Here’s what to include: ↳ Brand Mission & Vision: What are the goals of your company? ↳ Values: What are the core values of your business, both internally and externally? ↳ Brand Voice: If your brand were a person, how would it sound? ↳ Brand Tone: How is that voice applied in various online situations? ↳ Content Pillars: What are your common evergreen topics and ideas? These last points are crucial. They help solidify what ideas to create, how to respond to viewers, and why it all matters. Once you have a list of content ideas, integrate the above guidelines into each one to ensure they align with your brand. (Don't forget to consider your target audience and the social platform you're using.) Everything else in between is creativity. Be open to experimenting with new styles and ideas before refining your approach. At this year’s Nas Summit, we learned: ↳ Most influencers took time to find their voice. ↳ Trying new ideas early on helped refine their online brand. ↳ They don’t sell—they share ideas (as thought leaders). ↳ They communicate authentically, staying true to themselves and their audience. Vulnerability helps. ↳ Not all influencers are loud extroverts; you can find your niche and style along the way. Just as we want businesses and industries to share more, we realize we need to as well. We need to be the change we hope to see. That’s why we’re sharing this moment with you. You don’t have to be an “influencer.” You just have to be your best self—and let that influence the people and businesses around you. Once you're there, you'll be like all the other influencers who don't really resonate with the title, but some how accept that they now have influence. And that influence is powerful. • The holiday season is here, and you know what that means—shopping sprees, new outfits, and splurging on the perfect gift (or five). But before we dive headfirst into the retail madness, let’s hit pause for a second and ask ourselves: What’s the true cost of all this stuff? Look, we all love a good holiday haul—treating ourselves, picking out gifts, and getting ready to rock that new sweater for the office party. But here’s the thing: all that shopping comes with a hefty environmental price tag. And trust us, it’s not the kind of thing you can just wrap up in a bow and ignore. The documentary #BuyNow on Netflix (watch it, it’ll change your life) lays it all out with some jaw-dropping stats: - 92 million tons of textile waste are generated globally each year, and a whopping 73% of that ends up in landfills or is burned. - 15 million unwanted garments are sent to Ghana every week. Yup, every week. - And get this—13 million phones are tossed out every single day, adding to the tidal wave of electronic waste that’s set to balloon to 74 million tons by 2030. Yikes. So, what’s behind all this madness? It’s the overconsumption cycle, fuelled by flashy ads, fast fashion, and gadgets that are built to break. We’re all stuck in a system where “more is better,” and quality takes a backseat. The result? Tons of waste, toxic pollution, and a planet that can barely keep up. We don’t have to keep feeding the beast. As we head into the holiday shopping season, let’s be a little more intentional. We can still treat ourselves (hello, holiday spirit!), but let’s choose quality over quantity and sustainable alternatives where we can. And maybe, just maybe, we can support brands that care about us and the planet rather than just profits. This holiday season, let’s make a promise to give smarter—gifts that reflect our values, reduce waste, and support a future we can be proud of. So, let’s skip the excess, enjoy the season, and make it meaningful—not just for the ones we love, but for the planet we all share. Merry Christmas (soon) everyone! 🎄 We'll be taking a short break over the holidays to recoup and plan for more content in 2025! Do give us a follow if you haven't already to see our posts next year.

  • From the 'ding' of a text message to the Netflix chime—why do certain sounds stick with us? These sound are more than a jingle, it’s part of something bigger: #sonicbranding We recently visited SIXIÈME SON, one of our partners that specializes in crafting these unique audio identities. Sonic branding is still relatively unknown to many. Most people notice brands through logos, colors, and visuals, but sound works in a more subtle yet powerful way, influencing emotions and behaviours in an unconscious way. This is not in just the jingle itself. It goes much deeper than that. Think: Lounges, stores, and other environments these brands may have access to your ears to create the feelings they want you to feel. In a world that’s becoming increasingly sensory-driven, audio identities are poised to play a major role in how brands engage their audiences. Established brands have long understood the power of sonic branding, with signature sounds instantly evoking nostalgic or new feelings. #GenZ calls it #vibes So, the next time you hear a familiar brand sound, remember: it’s more than just a noise—it’s a carefully designed connection, building brand loyalty one note at a time. Now imagine that is applied and resonates through-out your social content. 🤔 ✌️

  • Creativity is subjective, but these three strategies will help you refine your content and make a real impact. When it comes to editing, there’s no magic formula, but there are some simple approaches that can help you improve your work. Here are three tips that matter—whether you’re editing your own videos or collaborating with an editor. Why should you care? 👉 Viewers have the power: They choose what to watch, and if your content doesn’t offer immediate value, they’ll move on. You don’t get a second chance. 👉 People are impatient: In a world of constant distractions, you need to get to the point quickly. Your audience wants to know why they should keep watching—upfront. 👉 You’re competing with noise: There's a lot of content out there. If your message isn’t clear, it gets lost in the shuffle. These tips aren’t just about tightening up your content; they’re about making sure your message lands and resonates with your audience. The better your content, the better the engagement. And that’s what we all want, right? And yes, they happen to double as life advice too. (You’re welcome! 🙌) #MentalHealthAwareness #ContentCreation #Marketing So, why are we sharing this? We genuinely want to see businesses create content that matters—content that reflects the important work they’re doing in the world. It's not about perfection, it's about authenticity and clarity. Done is better than perfect when you're starting out. Better content = better connections. What’s your most ‘I-can’t-believe-this-is-happening’ moment with an editor? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . • 🚨 Climate Checkpoint 2030: Are We Ready? In just over five years, we’ll hit the 2030 climate checkpoint, a critical moment for global efforts to avoid the worst of climate change. Despite goals set by governments, corporations, and financial giants, emissions are still hitting record highs. At this rate, the journey to net zero by 2050 looks even tougher, and the costs higher. Here’s where things stand: 🌍 Renewable Energy: While solar and wind have surged, we’re still far behind the capacity needed to meet 2030 targets. $1 trillion in annual investment is needed to close the gap, but 2023 saw just $623 billion. 🌳 Forests: Deforestation rates remain 45% above what’s needed. Brazil is making progress, but a major financial push is required to protect forests globally. 🚗 Electric Vehicles (EVs): EV adoption is rising but needs to account for 70% of new car sales by 2030. Current growth trends are strong, but we’re still below target without additional policy support. 🌐 Big Tech & AI: Tech giants promised aggressive emission cuts but are facing new energy demands from AI, slowing progress. 💧 Water & Fashion: Fashion’s footprint is still growing due to the rise of fast fashion. Water usage and fossil-fuel-based fibers are major hurdles. 🛫 Cleaner Aviation: Sustainable aviation fuel is key for net-zero emissions in aviation, but supply is far from meeting 2030 targets. With 2030 fast approaching, climate action needs rapid acceleration. The stakes have never been higher. • We understand you have a corporate identity you probably paid a lot for already, ironically, social media doesn't care... A lot of companies still struggle to understand social media rules and what's trending. They also need to be careful about legal issues like copyright, data privacy, and advertising laws. That's why they tend to be cautious. But sometimes, being cautious can stop them from that, all so elusive "authenticity" everyone keeps talking about. This stops them from fully embracing the power of social media. In doing this, they miss out on chances to boost their brand visibility and show what truly matters. Companies needs to step away from their hive mindset and look deeper within. How would you explain this to your friend or child? Would you continue to use the same jargon? We hope not. Using social media can help increase brand awareness, engage in potential customers and can provide you cost-effective marketing. Done well and it can offer useful data insights that can give you an edge over your competitors. Don’t let fear hold you back from connecting with the younger generations - #newage Age is only a number. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Gary

  • I wish I could say I'm crushing it at both #parenting and #entrepreneurship. The reality isn't so Disney. Working from home is a blessing because I get to be close to my daughter. But let’s be honest, she’s also a major distraction from work! The business needs my full attention, and so does my kid. Both deserve my best, but there’s only so much to give. The truth is, I'm navigating two uncharted waters in this season of life—both equally important and incredibly challenging. Individually, they’re tough. Together? A recipe for disaster. But over the past year, I’ve learned that balancing both is a constant learning curve: ↳ Priorities shift. ↳ Boundaries are tested. ↳ Resilience is built. The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that balance isn’t about perfection — it’s about flexibility and intention. Here’s what I’ve figured out so far (still a work in progress): 1️⃣ Create Hypothetical Boundaries Defined working hours and family time are crucial, but be open to these boundaries shifting when needed. 2️⃣ Routines are Great Building Blocks Routines are good for babies, good for you, and good for your business. Enforce them within your team/family to build a culture/characters that lasts—but make sure it’s the stuff you want long term! 3️⃣ Prioritize and Delegate Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whether it’s at work or at home. Delegating tasks allows you to focus on what truly matters and what you excel at. If someone can do it better and faster, drop your ego and let them. 4️⃣ Embrace Flexibility I’m terrible at yoga, but I’m learning mental flexibility. Calls/meetings can happen whenever they’re needed. I’m not bound by traditional hours, but I make intentional choices to honor my priorities—even when they shift daily. 5️⃣ Self-Care Matters “You can’t light a candle with an empty lighter” — @asher (from limitlessSG). You can’t lead if you’re running on empty. Recharge in ways that work for you. Guys, we could all learn from the #wives, #sisters, and #women in our lives. Treat yourself, whatever that means for you, and stop making excuses about why you don’t need it. This past year has taught me patience, balance, and the importance of being kind to myself (and others). Parenting is tough. Entrepreneurship is rough. Together, it’s chaotic. But a life well-lived was never supposed to be easy. If you’re juggling parenthood and entrepreneurship, know you’re not alone. Find a rhythm that works for you, and give yourself grace along the way. We’re all just doing our best to find balance. You promised your mom you’d do the dishes, but now she’s home, and you’re suddenly a #professional #sprinter heading for the sink. 🏃♂️💨 🥱 Procrastination can sometimes work in your favor (science even backs this up). But being late to the game? That’s a one-way ticket to nowhere. ⛔️ Social content has been out here trending with B2C marketing and brand awareness for years now. 📈 And #influencers with their #UGC content? 🗣️ They’ve been out performing vanity metrics since the dawn of avocado toast. 😋 Luckily for you, most industries are still chilling on the sidelines, stuck in the “maybe we’ll try social media... eventually” phase. 🫵 Newsflash💥: social media is no longer a mystery. We know the game, the rules, and how to win. The only thing left is actually playing it. Sure, finding your stride takes time, but if you never start, how will you get ahead? 🤔 Good news is, if you’re already doing awesome work, there’s no need to fake it—just show up. 👍 You’ve got nothing to lose and plenty of fans (and business) to gain. Now go pick up that phone (or keyboard)…and maybe those dishes too.💀 . . . . . . . . . . Gary Koay

The computer you're using now is there because of one industry and you never thought about until now. It’s easy to forget just how much logistics affects our day-to-day life. We take for granted how quickly things arrive at our doorstep, how construction projects get off the ground, or how smoothly goods move from one place to another. But behind all of it, there’s logistics — and it's mostly invisible. We recently had the opportunity to visit Bok Seng Group — a #logistics company in #Singapore. And what I discovered completely changed the way I look at this industry. Ready for it? The truth is: While logistics might not always grab the spotlight, it’s the reason our world runs the way it does. Think about it: those towering cranes on construction sites, the trucks driving down the road, the package you ordered last night that shows up at your door? All of that is made possible by logistics companies, working behind the scenes to keep things moving. And when you really stop to think about it — that’s something worth appreciating every single day. So, next time you see a truck on the road, a crane at a construction site, or the seamless delivery of a package, take a moment to think about the logistics that make it all happen. And think about companies like Bok Seng — a true unsung hero in the logistics world. Bok Seng's commitment to excellence, innovation, and reliability ensures that crucial projects get off the ground, goods move efficiently, and businesses stay connected — all while often working behind the scenes. Their team is dedicated to solving complex logistical challenges and ensuring that everything, from massive construction equipment to everyday deliveries, is in the right place at the right time. At Jaidee & Ko, we believe that these stories deserve to be told. Bok Seng is not just moving goods, they’re moving entire industries forward. By sharing their journey, we hope to shine a light on the immense value they bring to Singapore’s economy and beyond. Does your business have a story like Bok Seng’s? A story of hard work, resilience, and impact that the world needs to see? . . . . . . . . . Gary Koay Bok Seng Group BNI Future Singapore
