With a strong background in economics and a distinguished career at the GREDEG CNRS research laboratory, Dr. Adel Ben Youssef is a leader in bridging digital innovation with sustainability. Dr. Adel Ben Youssef has made significant contributions in both academic and industrial sectors, where he leads efforts to shape strategies on both national and regional fronts Dr. Adel Ben Youssef has been a key advocate for digital transformation and sustainability in Africa and the Middle East. He is a founding member of the African Association of Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0 (AISMA) and collaborated with major international organisations, including UNIDO, UN-HABITAT, ITC, and UNDP, to drive sustainable development through digital solutions. A negotiator for Tunisia at the UN climate conferences from COP 23 to COP 29, Dr. Adel Ben Youssef played a pivotal role in aligning climate finance with digital innovation. Ranked in the top 2% of scholars globally, Dr. Adel Ben Youssef has published over 100 academic articles on sustainable digital transitions. We are honoured to have him join our Advisory Board and look forward to his insights as we advance innovation and sustainability. Outlook for global manufacturing is a mixed bag, with Europe still struggling. While the industry is projected to grow by a modest 0.6% in 2024, the outlook varies by region.
