If you’re someone interested in the T-pop scene, it likely goes without saying that one name you need to familiarise yourself with is Pami. Having initially began her career as an actress before moving into the world of music, Pami has been writing and creating for some time, though it’s only been this year that we’ve really begun to see what she’s capable of, with new releases arriving via Juicey. Inspired by names like Gracie Abrams, and with desires to collab with names like James Alyn and Fazerdaze, Pami’s sound is as eclectic and joyful as the artists she takes influence from. With plenty of acclaimed singles to her name and a new album on the way, it’s clear that 2025 is set to be the year of Pami. Recently, Pami performed at Gig Life Pro’s Bangkok mixer, allowing music professionals around the world to experience her gorgeous sound on the live stage. We took the chance to catch up with her backstage to talk about her career, her music, the benefits of connectivity, and what’s next as part of our Backstage Pass video. Check out the video below, and be sure to check out Pam’s growing musical catalogue on your favourite streaming service!

If you find yourself in the market for new music and you're searching for an all Latina, all femme, grunge pop band from the US, then we think Not Your Ex Lover might be just what you're after. Having been on the scene for the past two years, Not Your Ex Lover is a four-piece group whose music is catchy as it is enjoyable, with more hooks than a bait shop and just as many immersive melodies. With a love for the classic alt-rock and alt-pop of the past decades, Not Your Ex Lover (who are managed by Gig Life Pro member Ryan Bukstein) have managed to carve out an impressive niche for themselves thanks to their stellar live shows and impressive list of growing recordings. Just last week, the band were announced as one of the performers at Idaho's Treefort Music Fest in March. Appearing alongside a myriad amazing names, it's the band's second time appearing at the festival, and just another example of the amazing moves they're making. In celebration of their upcoming appearance at the festival and as part of our latest Press Play feature, we spoke to Not Your Ex Lover about where their musical journey started, what these past years have included, and what's next. One of the core ingredients in the recipe that is Gig Life Pro is the members that make up our wider community. With their involvement, their hard work, and their ever-expanding list of achievements, the Gig Life Pro community is one that is truly worth celebrating. To do this, we're shining a spotlight onto our members, taking a look at some of their recent achievements, milestones, or even just the hard work that they've been doing of late. This week, we’re looking at a job change for Hazel Savage, a milestone for Paul-Nelson Ruesz’s Live Promotions Bkk, and an ARIA Award for an artist James Mangohig produced for. We’re also looking at a new partnership between Srishti Das’ Hivewire and the GMI, and a panel appearance from Tyler Jenke. If you'd like to connect with any of the members featured in this week's Member Moments Weekly Wrap-Up, be sure to sign up to Gig Life Pro and get in touch via the networking platform. If you're someone who likes your music with some soul, then you'd do well to take note of Nao Yoshioka; a contemporary soul singer whose voice has turned heads the world over. Born in Japan and having moved to New York alone, Nao's encounter with soul music inspired her to create music that resonates with people's emotions. And resonate it did. With a soulful voice reminiscent of Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, and a strength of character forged through life experiences as an outsider and overcoming adversities, Nao has swiftly become a name to watch. Alongside performances at prestigious venues like Blue Note New York and London Jazz Cafe, appearances at major festivals like Capital Jazz Fest in the USA and SXSW Sydney in Australia, and collaborations with veteran artists like John Batiste, Nathan East, Eric Roberson, and Mamas Gun, Nao has also just released her fifth album, 'Flow'. Catching her in a rare moment of downtime between global tour dates, we spoke to Nao for our latest Press Play feature, chatting about her musical journey, her creative process, and everything in between. Last week, Gig Life Pro wrapped up our final mixer of the year with our GLP & Friends Mixer in Bangkok, Thailand! Held at the gorgeous LIDO Connect in Pathum Wan, we invited close friends, new connections, and longtime associates to come together to share in an event that is a love of music, the industry, and the community that we’ve all fostered together. Made possible by our friends Megatix Thailand, Maho Rasop Festival, and LOVEiS Entertainment, the event also featured a live musical showcase from pami, which was a definite highlight of the evening. We need to thank everyone who helped make the event a magical one, including our partners, the venue, and everyone who attended – from members to longtime supporters. Relive all the excitement of the night with our professional photo gallery over on Facebook: https://lnkd.in/guMEVgGC Though it might be our last mixer of the year, it’s made us all the more eager to recapture the magic when we launch into things again in the new year. What an absolutely crazy couple of months it has been for the folks here at Gig Life Pro! While we’re always striving to ensure representation at all music industry events and conferences around APAC, you never really know how many there are until you take the time to reflect on the past few months. Launching with BIGSOUND_AU in Brisbane in early September, we quickly kept things going with the Taipei Music Expo, before taking a moment to rest before heading to Singapore before All That Matters. Seoul was our next destination for the Zandari Festa, with the Busan Rock Festival also featuring on the itinerary. A trip back to Australia for SXSW Sydney in October preceded Japan’s Tokyo International Music Market, with things wrapping up in Bangkok thanks to GLP Explores – including the Maho Rasop Festival and GLP & Friends Mixer. Needless to say, it’s been an amazing few months spent soaking in all of the music, panels, and vital insights we’re experienced as part of our travels. Thank you to everyone who has accompanied us on the journey – including staff, members, and close friends – and we hope to see you at plenty more events like this in the coming months! Check out our recap video below, and if you want to stay in the loop about upcoming events, member perks, and more, be sure to sign up for a Gig Life Pro membership here: https://lnkd.in/grH3_7xv
