CSP Singapore leverages scientific research to mobilize capital toward social change.

About us

The Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth Singapore (CSP SG) is an independent nonprofit that works in collaboration with the CSP Zurich at the University of Zurich. Our work is based on two important developments: 1. Sustainable Finance has emerged as a key opportunity to deploy large amounts of capital for financial returns and positive social and environmental outcomes. Sustainable Finance can become a key driver for sustainable development. 2. Private Wealth has become highly concentrated. Today, 0.7 percent of the global population controls more than 50 percent of total private wealth, as well as many of the world’s largest conglomerates, companies, and foundations. Many wealth owners are deeply interested in Sustainable Finance but lack the capacity to engage. To bring these two phenomena together, our research and teaching work is uniquely positioned at the nexus of sustainable finance and private wealth. As such, our goal is to activate private wealth and sustainable finance, at scale, as a substantial driver for sustainable development.

🌟 Honored to Speak at Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth Singapore (CSP SG) Masterclass at AlterCOP: Bridging the Gap in Sustainable Wealth Management 🌟 I was truly inspired by the drive and dedication of the management professionals from various private banks who attended this exclusive event. Their openness to share knowledge and wisdom, all with the goal of building a more sustainable financial future, was remarkable. As one of the three speakers alongside Ayesha Mathias Bohart and Thibaut Meurgue-Guyard, I was privileged to explore the evolving world of sustainable investing with our CSP alumnus and board member, Sean KEEGAN. Hearing about his journey, including both challenges and triumphs, was enlightening and reinforced the importance of our collective efforts in this space. This masterclass was a fantastic opportunity to challenge our existing mindsets around sustainability. It provided a safe, neutral space for participants to share their current positions, aspirations, and the difficulties they face in bridging the gap to achieve their sustainability goals. Key takeaways included: - Listening first-hand to a Wealth Holder's insights into the evolving sustainability and impact investing space, and his experience as a client with private banks. - Exploring the risks and opportunities pertinent to our businesses through our discussions. - Learning how our peers in the financial space view the complex landscape of creating more awareness and their challenges in driving changes within their organizations. I am grateful for the chance to connect with peers who share a vision for a sustainable financial future. Together, we can elevate our institutions' impact in sustainable wealth management and shape the future of private banking in Singapore. #SustainableFinance #WealthManagement #PrivateBanking #Sustainability #ImpactInvesting #AlterCOP
