Connecting people through the arts

About us

3Pumpkins is a non-profit community development organisation that specialises in strengthening human connections through multi-disciplinary approach. We are best recognised for our placemaking and participatory art programmes that are focused on developing a sense of belonging, self-identity and self-actualisation for disadvantaged communities. Our flagship programmes include 'Say Louder Teahouse', a dialect programme developed during the height of Covid-19 pandemic for isolated seniors, and Tak Takut Kids Club (TTKC), a community club in Boon Lay (Singapore) that anchors an inter-generational and inter-agency support system to provide a village of care for children and youth aged 7-14.

Our commitment to giving back has made a tangible difference during National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC)'s Great Singapore Give campaign. This year, KPMG in Singapore rallied together for better, supporting numerous social enterprises and charities. Through our efforts, we are heartened to positively impact the lives of many individuals and communities, spanning children and youth, eldercare, animal welfare and beyond.    Every action counts towards making a collective impact, and we are incredibly proud and thankful for our volunteers whose dedication and passion have turned these initiatives into a powerful movement of change.    Swipe to see how we have made a difference in our local communities this year, one initiative at a time. #KPMGSingapore #KPMGGivingWeek #TogetherForBetter #GivingWeekSG #SGCares #CSR #volunteer

Founder of 3Pumpkins, Tak Takut Kids Club (TTKC). Usually found at the playgrounds, hawker centre and multi-purpose court in Boon Lay.

Yesterday was the opening of The Foundry, a baby of The Majurity Trust (TMT). A foundry is a place where metal is melted to cast into new objects. This Foundry is a melting pot for social innovations to happen. The TTKC “Buyaopa” lion dance troupe was invited to the event to receive the President. Partnership with TMT goes back to the Covid times when we received support for - surprise surprise - projects to support seniors and migrant workers. Over 5000 portable radios with 80hours of newly created dialect content were sent to isolate seniors, hospitals, nursing homes. There was also another project that engaged isolated migrant workers during this time. As situation stabilised, I focused on developing TTKC and having to be the hyper-local presence in Boon Lay, naturally we were quite far far away from the central hub. 3P and TMT eventually reconnected to work on a project related to community health in 2022. Perhaps the most underrated story behind TTKC is that in its very very nascent years, we were supported by Yong Hon Kong foundation, set up by Danny Yong who is also the co-founder of TMT. That was in 2019. Danny continues to support the arts programme until now. And so aptly captured in this photo, the quiet supporter is standing in the background as our team and the children beam in pride with Mr. And Mrs. Tharman. A picture paints a thousand words, or a thousand relations that have brought us altogether.

Even though 3Pumpkins has been actively working with the communities since 2019, we were only registered as a charity in 2023. Hence we present our inaugural Annual Report! Here are some highlights of our past and future developments. For the full report, please go to www.3pumpkins.co

  • We celebrated Deepavali early! From cooking delicious food, creating a magnificent kolam, henna and performances, the TTKC community contributes and unites over these joyful shared experiences. With the recent passing of a beloved elder and cases of family violence and loss, times are difficult for some of us. A connected community is where we journey with one another through sorrow and be reminded that there is light over darkness. Happy Deepavali to all! #ttkc #communitydevelopment #deepavali
