Very interesting to see the details of the Ericsson Mobility Report to see the trends of communication industry and how the new communication facilities impact other businesses with a final target to GROWTH the world economy. A survey of 100 industry managers in the manufacturing, mining and forest industries found that more than 50% of digitalization initiatives in Sweden are still in the planning and pilot stages. Despite facing prolonged innovation cycles, business leaders tell us they are right on the threshold of scaling up. NorthStar 5G Innovation program by Telia and Ericsson provides the extra push to help companies go from proof of concept to market-ready solutions. With 5G capabilities such as lower latency, higher resilience and enhanced security, the number of possible mission critical use cases is growing significantly.   One industry that will benefit greatly from the capabilities of mission critical 5G technology is the railway sector. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of opening the Ericsson Rail Convention together with the Convention Chairman Jean-Michel Evanghelou, Director of Telecom, Signalling and Digital Applications at UIC - International union of railways #UICrail#UICrail. The Convention is a two-day event focused on the role of 5G for digitalizing railways, attended by railway industry representatives from across Europe.   This year, we will take significant steps towards the realization of The Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS), a framework built on 5G technology that will pave the way for highly connected trains and railways, with improved onboard monitoring systems and IoT-connected sensors. FRMCS will ultimately lead to more secure, efficient, and automated train operations.   5G will also transform the train passenger experience. In Europe, we have already commenced the deployment of 5G corridors along railway lines. Once in commercial operation, travellers will benefit from reliable high-speed mobile internet, ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted connectivity experience. The IoT market is in the middle of its evolution. Value creation is significant, market growth expectations are high, but key challenges must be addressed to unlock the full market potential. A recent study from Ericsson IndustryLab is providing new key insights. Today, digitalization is revolutionizing enterprise value creation. Integrated across operations, digitalization improves agility, advances operations and boosts resilience. The fourth edition of the Ericsson IndustryLab report series the “Future of Enterprises” investigates current enterprise digitalization in the form of IoT use cases that are relevant across a wide range of industry segments. The first part of the study features a case study of Motor City Wash Works, a customer of Cradlepoint which is part of Ericsson. Motor City Wash Works uses embedded cellular connectivity to enable asset monitoring, remote control, and connected offerings in automated car wash tunnel systems. In addition to this case study, the report also includes a global, quantitative, and qualitative cross-industry analysis of these IoT use cases providing insights on value creation, use case evolution, and key challenges for enterprise deployment and scale-up. This comprehensive research encompasses 32 in-depth interviews and an online survey with 9,000 respondents surveys filled out by, both decision-makers and employees, covering virtually all industries across 15 markets. Nokia has launched several of its new innovations in Midsummer Launch in Finland couple of weeks ago. We have announced two new two compact, next-generation outdoor #Airscale baseband products with 4G-5G and 2G-3G-4G-5G options. These baseband products will support twice as much cell capacity and enhance uplink throughput by up to 30 percent while reducing power consumption by up to 40 percent compared to existing basebands we have. On #Airscale radio portfolio, we have added a new high-performance #Habrok 32 Massive MIMO radio that supports an instantaneous bandwidth of 200MHz. This will enable operators to choose the ideal Massive MIMO solution that best fits their available spectrum assets and deployment needs. We have also launched #Kolibri and all-in-One 5G small cell for indoor and outdoor use cases. #Kolibri products don’t need a separate baseband unit, which enables simplified installations and deployment flexibility.
