Enhanced customer satisfaction, improved network performance, and expanded business opportunities are the key benefits Finnish communications provider @Elisa has experienced since launching its 5G Standalone (SA) Own Lane fixed wireless access (FWA) service in 2024. ✅   Elisa's journey began in 2020 when it became the first in the Nordics to trial 5G SA connectivity for voice and data, leading to the deployment of its 5G SA network in Finland by 2021. What a phenomenal week the last one turned out to be!    You know how we all try to do our bit for the planet? Like unplugging our chargers or flipping the light switch off as we leave a room? Well, our team has taken those everyday energy-saving habits and scaled them big time. And this led to Ericsson’s eco-friendly innovation being honored with the Green Future Best Practice Award at the Deutsche Telekom Campus Fair 2024! 🌍🏆   The journey that brought us here was a team effort between our MELA SCR team and the local business team on the ground, particularly the Deutsche Telekom Key Account Manager, who all poured their expertise into crafting an award submission that shone a light on our collaborative spirit and innovation. Together, they crunched the numbers and showcased how Deutsche Telekom’s network in Germany is making leaps in capacity and energy performance, all while lowering its carbon footprint with our new energy-efficient radios. We're talking a massive 60.8 GWh energy saved annually, and a reduction of 4,290 tons of CO2e. This is what modernization with a conscience looks like, and it's helping DT sprint towards their ambitious Net Zero goal by 2040.   But this isn't just about celebrating a win. It's about setting the stage for what's next. The innovation we've highlighted here is ready to be rolled out to other markets, driving sustainability and business benefits far and wide. Nokia has launched several of its new innovations in Midsummer Launch in Finland couple of weeks ago. We have announced two new two compact, next-generation outdoor #Airscale baseband products with 4G-5G and 2G-3G-4G-5G options. These baseband products will support twice as much cell capacity and enhance uplink throughput by up to 30 percent while reducing power consumption by up to 40 percent compared to existing basebands we have. On #Airscale radio portfolio, we have added a new high-performance #Habrok 32 Massive MIMO radio that supports an instantaneous bandwidth of 200MHz. This will enable operators to choose the ideal Massive MIMO solution that best fits their available spectrum assets and deployment needs. We have also launched #Kolibri and all-in-One 5G small cell for indoor and outdoor use cases. #Kolibri products don’t need a separate baseband unit, which enables simplified installations and deployment flexibility. Hello from Helsinki and Nokia Radio World 2024! What an awesome week! Not only did I get the chance to travel to one of my favorite places this week, but today I also got to do one of my favorite things, which is to present to and talk to our valued customers and partners from around the world about how private wireless is enabling use cases that are truly having a positive impact on people’s lives and the environment. What an honor it was to share the stage with my colleague, and Head of the Europe Market, Rolf Werner. We emphasized the importance of understanding the customer’s business, their pain points and the problems they are trying to solve. We explained the importance of understanding that the requirements and priorities of an Enterprise may very well, and often do, differ from that of a traditional CSP. We shared real-world use case examples across industry verticals, such as Utilties, Education, Transportation and others. And finally, we highlighted the significance of partnerships when bringing private wireless solutions to Enterprise customers, and our commitment to be seen as the most trusted private wireless partner in the world. #NokiaRadioWorld
