The 6th of June is Sweden National Day. 🇸🇪 🎉 But I write about Proptech... So what does Proptech have to do with Sweden? Looking at my Swedish history can shed some light 😊 May 19, 2017: I moved to Sweden to be with the love of my life 💛 💙 May 18, 2018: I landed my first job in Sweden in the Proptech scene at Yanzi Networks and then Airthings for business. Dec 26, 2022: I became a Swedish Citizen 🇸🇪 🎉 June 6, 2024: I have come to realize that I love Proptech 💛 💙 second to my wife and kids of course 😊 During this period I had the absolute pleasure of meeting some of the finest, smartest, most respectable and amazing Swedes. Hello, friends. ❤️ Today we will talk about the exciting news for the Swedish market  Gambling tax in Sweden has increased from 18% to 22% of GGR from 1 July 💸 The Swedish government expects the additional tax revenue to be approximately €47m per year. 💸 The tax rate increase was opposed by virtually the entire industry. Gustav Hoffstedt, head of the Online Gaming Industry Association (BOS), urged the government to reconsider its plans before it was too late. At the time, he was blunt about the fact that the people making such decisions don't really understand how the online gambling market works.  #iGaming #DataDriven #BusinessStrategy

What is the most important hiring KPI? At yesterday’s networking lunch at Alva Labs HQ we discussed this. Some of the more commonly used metrics turned out to be: - Time to Hire - Candidate experience - Hiring manager satisfaction - Time to production The one metric I believe has the biggest impact is Quality of hire. It is a lagging metric for hiring, but it is a leading metric for overall company success. At Alva we measure QoH through a survey filled out by the hiring manager after 3 and 5 months of the onboarding. We use the following questions: 📍How is this employee acting in lines with company value X? 📍I am comfortable handing over work tasks to this individual. 📍The employee works independently on tasks. 📍The employee contributes to the team. 📍The employee has enough knowledge to conduct their job. 📍The employee is close to reaching their ramp targets. 📍How likely are you to keep the employee after the probation period? The correlation between these questions and actual performance down the line has turned out to be very strong. How do you measure quality in your hiring process?

Realheart recently released its Q1 report for 2024. A week later, CEO Ina Laura Perkins participated in a report interview at Direkt Studios (Swedish). "The reason I could be here at Direkt Studios only now, is that at the time of the report release, I was in the #US visiting #cardiologists and having discussions with two major hospital systems. There is an incredible amount of interest in our artificial heart and the response when the surgeons saw all the stable values in the sheep in connection with our latest implantation was ‘Wow, it looks great, like a natural heart’,’ says Realheart's CEO Ina Laura Perkins. ❤️ In the interview, Ina Laura talks about the US visit and how much it means for future market launches there. For example, one of the hospitals visited performs more heart transplants per year than is done in Sweden during the same period. 🍀 Other interesting points are 🍀 ✔️ The second implantation with more than four days survival has been achieved. ✔️ Important and relevant feedback from the surgeons has led to anatomical changes to the heart pump so that it is now more organic and similar in shape to a human heart. It is also generally smaller. This is thanks to the realisation of being able to cross the two pumps, thus freeing up space. ✔️ Dates for implantation have been booked and work is now continuing to optimize blood handling and the heart-lung machine.  ✔️ The 10-day survival milestone remains a goal. ✔️ New laboratory data at the blood cell level will be presented at ASAIO, where the results are a great proof of good blood handling. ✔️ Unique to test on human blood, which is most sensitive, most clinically relevant and best for risk mitigation. ✔️ New chairman of the board, Magnus Öhman, with solid experience from the #commercialisation of the #pacemaker. Without: - Using any of the fancy tools like Clay, Smartlead - Having Multiple inboxes - Exceptional copy And here's why that happened: - Selected List of 150 accounts to match their ideal criteria - Language adaptation --> The e-mails were sent out in German, which resonated with the older demographic that he was targeting - Strong brand association --> He was prospecting on behalf of a client with a strong and reputable brand, which is an amplifier to your cold outreach. For most companies these results would not be replicable because of the reputation absence. But if you are in a position where you DO have a strong brand, life becomes much easier. #leadgeneration, #coldemail
