    Back in 2018, we did a deep dive into radical vs incremental innovation, and the structure of organizations that focus on one over the other or are working ambidextrously.

    In the study, Magnus Penker and Dr. Soo Beng Khoh examined 3,000 organizations over a 52-month period and mapped how well they handled incremental innovation and radical innovation.

    They were surprised to learn that incremental innovators had less structure, weaker capabilities for decision making, and slower speed to market than radical innovators. Another surprising finding that could be proven with statistical significance was that radical innovators have the capabilities for also applying incremental innovation.

    The conclusion was that incremental innovators statistically are less capable of both improvements and of protecting them against disruption. The results of the study were presented at IEEE in their peer-reviewed journal. This insight has now been transferred into actions with our clients, as well as published in the March issue, 2021, of Inc Magazine with 33 million monthly views.

    Innovation is key for any organization's continued success. Some companies are more successful than others, so what are their secret formulas? The authors investigated data on innovation collected during a 52- month period (1 January 2014 to 1 May 2018) from more than 2,900 companies in 105 countries. They found that two distinct innovation strategies (incremental and radical) are widely practiced. An in-depth investigation and innovation analytics were performed on those organizations using the data collected by the InnoSurvey tool with help from licensed practitioners worldwide. It was concluded that radical innovators are better at linking organizational strategy and capabilities than incremental innovators. As the link between strategy and capability is highly correlated to financial performance [1], radical innovators, therefore, have better chances of success in future business than incremental innovators, which is a new insight, since incremental innovators are often perceived as being more stable, more mature, and more risk averse.

    Communication is universal and takes place through many channels. PR is only one part of the communication mix but a very efficient one for PSFs as it is B2B and highly dependent upon trust and a good reputation. To understand reputation and its management there are three key questions:

    This internal report aims to transfer my (the author’s) structural capital and tangible knowhow in building intellectual capital within a consultancy business. The report is based upon 15+ years of experience in building intellectual capital in a number of international consultancy businesses. The roles I have had in the different organisations have been as CEO, Chairman, VP of Training, advisor and external consultant. The definition of Intellectual Capital used in the report is based upon Leif Edvinsson and the work of Intellectual Capital of Sweden AB. Professor Leif Edvinsson divided Intellectual Capital into three main categories plus the business idea: relational capital, structural capital and human capital. The difficult thing with consultancy firms, especially management consultants operating in a premium market, is capturing, sharing, diffusing, refining and generating new explicit knowhow. However, tacit knowhow is even harder to capture, share, diffuse, refine and generate within an organisation with individualistic knowledge workers, and is thus dependent upon the social capital of the firm.

    Innovation 360 client, Netsafe International, a company known by its expert services within the areas data communications, IT security, data centers and operator networks, was acquired by Danish company Conscia AS during 2015.

    The acquisition and merge was part of well structured innovative business and market strategy that aimed to integrate and complement the best of each company into a new consortium that expands Conscia's market to Sweden and that has as a goal to be the strongest provider of system integration of network services in Sweden.

    Netsafe International and Conscia A/S are two well known companies within their specialty area, being certified Cisco Golden partners. Therefore the acquisition was a proccess that complemented both companies' capacities to make them stronger. Quting AI (the organisation awarding the deal of the year) there "was a strategic fit between the two companies and their agendas".

    The acquisition from the Danish company Conscia has as a goal to make Netsafe, the leading company within system integration of network services that caters for the most demanding clients in Sweden. It resulted in a profitable business, with a turnover equal to half a billion Swedish Crowns, in a period of 5 years.

    The selling team was represented by NetSafe's founder and CEO Emanuel Lipschütz, Magnus Penker Chairman and strategy consultant and CEO to Innovation 360 Group, as well as lawyer Peter Hummelblad from firm Wåhlin and was the final of a well planned and strategi agenda. Conscia was represented by the company owners and Danish VC.

    The positive results of this purchase has been awarded by the Acquisition International granting of the Deal of the Year Award 2015 to Netsafe International and it´s team due to a successful transaction.
