👉 What’s a gig job? 👉 Who is a gigger today? 👉 What’s the status and the future of the gig economy? 👉 And why does it matter? These questions were discussed yesterday at Swedish JobTech's event about “How gig-jobs impact the labor market”. The panel, who to say the least were beyond qualified to answer these questions, all agreed that a growing number of today’s workforce want a more flexible and free way of working. It concerns anyone, in any industry, from any background, and in different stages of life. Because a flexible work structure offers students a way to make extra cash while studying, people a way to make money in between jobs, and others to build careers as entrepreneurs. However, what’s also clear is that independent workers wish they had access to better network, better society support and felt less financial insecure, which we need to work on. The hidden 50% of success most founders ignore. Last week at Slush I noticed something: The most successful founders weren't the ones with the perfect slides. Or the perfect products. They were leveraging perfect relationships. Here's what I’ve learned after 100+ conversations: 1/ Networks create real opportunities. At Slush, I watched a founder close a deal at a party. Not through a presentation but through an introduction. 2/ Relationships outweigh metrics Your revenue shows your current position Your network and team determines your future. 3/ Every connection compounds One coffee chat leads to 3 introductions Those led to 9 more, multiplying opportunities My November experiment proves this: Reached out to 10 Gaming CEOs every week. Asked for quick virtual coffees before the event. Result? • 1 referral to a scaling startup • 3 partners who will choose us when they scale. ✨ My Journey in Shaping EVPs: Creating Workplaces Where People Belong and Thrive As I look back on my career, I realize how much the worlds of Employer Branding and Employer Value Propositions have shaped not only my work but also the way I think about people and purpose in organizations. For me, it’s always been about more than just attracting talent—it’s about creating environments where people can thrive, grow, and truly feel a part of something bigger.
