    Chief Response Cell Malign Influence, at Nordic Pine, yearly NATO exercise on hybrid threats to renewable energy systems.

    In September 2022 the NATO exercise Nordic Pine 22 was conducted for the first time in Sweden with particpants from local, regional and private energy companies as well as governmental agencies and corporations (e.g. the Swedish Energy Agency, The Swedish National Grid Agency, the Civil Contingecies Agency, the Defence Research Agency, Vattenfall).

    RISE, Research Insitutes of Sweden, has played a key role in developing the exercise. Without RISE there would not have been an exercise, and it is thanks to RISE that VTT in Finland was involved in the exercise. In Nordic Pine 23 RISE will provide resources in many different aspects, not least providing facilities and technology for the Joint Exercise Centre. VTT will provide staff, resources and training site for the Finnish part of the exercise.

    The exercise emanates from the NATO science and technology organisation, STO, and a systems analysis study called SAS-163, “Energy security in the era of hybrid threats”, that has been ongoing since 2020. From the 1st of January 2023 the study has continued under the name SAS-183 with the same scope.

    Some of the world's leading digital diplomats gathered in Stockholm on 16-17 January 2014 for the Stockholm Initiative on Digital Diplomacy (#sidd) meeting. Interactive Institute Swedish ICT lead a 24-hour diplohack organized by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where representatives from a dozen countries worked together to produce new methods for the digital diplomacy of the future.

    During 24 hours, the diplomats worked together with international experts on communication and technology in a so-called 'diplohack' led by Carl Heath, researcher at the Interactive Institute. The format combined different kinds of expertise to produce joint solutions to current diplomatic challenges. Participants include digital strategists from the US, UK and French foreign ministries, Bambuser founder Måns Adler, Italian diplomat and author of Twitter for Diplomats Andreas Sandre, and author of the Twiplomacy studies Matthias Lüfkens.

    The starting point for the meeting was the objective outlined in the Statement of Foreign Policy that Sweden must be at the absolute cutting edge in digital diplomacy efforts.

    In connection with the meeting, a special TEDxStockholmSalon on the new diplomacy was held, at which Carl Bildt made his TEDx debut.

ICT has become to be an important tool in education and this project aims at strenthening ICT in education through both creating knowledge on how to implement programming as a part of the curricula, as well as designing and using the concepts of design, play, learning and entrepreneurial education found in the Maker Movement, and in Maker Spaces.

    The project is a planning project with an aim to creating a continuating, larger continuation project with a focus on implementation.

A new market is growing within the field of neuro games, that has the potential to deliver new forms of tools and applications within medicine, psychology and education. In order to enable innovation within this area, and especially towards health services, a trans diciplinary team and effort is at the core.

    The project Neurogame Platform aims at creating a consortium of key competences, initially from game studies, interaction design, neuroscience, psychology and educational sciences. Through the joint venture of this trans diciplinary team, possibilities emerge to explore and assess the available technologies within BCI and develop functional prototypes of neuro games to be used within future healthcare and services, in order to market and deploy successful products on an international market.

    Funktek is a co-creative design project targeting museums and people with special needs, funded by The Swedish Inheritance Fund Commission. The aim of the project is to design and develop new forms of experiences for specific target groups through a user centered design process. Through this work the project wants to enable more people to take part in the museum activities and exhibitions.

    The project asks how technology in museums can be used to enhance participation and democracy, how can people with special needs experience museum exhibitions and work on equal terms, and how this form of work can lead to sustainable urban development and more democratic urban environments. Together with a broad group of young people with different special needs the project wants to anwer the questions. On a practial level the project will explore, design and develop new technologies that will work in a museum context, and that can be spread nationally and internationally.

    The project Funktek is managed by the Göteborg City Museum in cooperation with Utopias, Changemaker, Mistra Urban Futures, The Swedish Exibition Agency and Interactive Institute Swedish ICT.

We aim to develop the Collaboratory to a unique and leading maker environment for participatory culture, playcentric expressions, communication architectures and innovation in Sweden, with global collaborations. Collaboratory consists of both a global network, and a local space at the Gothenburg film and games village at Polstjärnegatan 14 Lindholmen.

    Guldlänken, The Swedish eGovernment Awards, har sedan 1999 stimulerat utvecklingen av svensk offentlig verksamhet genom att årligen lyfta fram de främsta exemplen på innovativt förändringsarbete. Priset delas ut på konferensen Offentliga Rummet.

    Kommuner, regioner och myndigheter står inför utmaningar som kräver nya arbetssätt och lösningar för framtidens välfärd. Här är digitaliseringen en viktig möjliggörare för verksamhetsutveckling.

    Utmärkelsen Guldlänken premierar…

    Guldlänken, The Swedish eGovernment Awards, har sedan 1999 stimulerat utvecklingen av svensk offentlig verksamhet genom att årligen lyfta fram de främsta exemplen på innovativt förändringsarbete. Priset delas ut på konferensen Offentliga Rummet.

    Kommuner, regioner och myndigheter står inför utmaningar som kräver nya arbetssätt och lösningar för framtidens välfärd. Här är digitaliseringen en viktig möjliggörare för verksamhetsutveckling.

    Utmärkelsen Guldlänken premierar organisationer, projekt och initiativ i offentlig sektor som bidrar till en smartare välfärd med stöd av digitalisering. Det kan till exempel handla om nya sätt att utföra offentlig verksamhet, bidrag till policyförändringar, ökad inkludering av invånare och företag eller att producera service och tjänster tillsammans med andra aktörer. Det kan också handla om smart kompetensutveckling inom digitalisering, förändringsledning och innovativt ledarskap. Syftet med utmärkelsen är att inspirera till förändringsarbete, stimulera mod och öka spridningen av smarta lösningar till fler aktörer.

    Priset delas ut i samarbete mellan SKR, Vinnova och Regeringskansliet. En jury med representanter från SKR, Vinnova, Regeringskansliet, näringsliv och akademi bedömer de inkomna förslagen.

    MySafety


    Det demokratiska samtalet är en kommitté som på uppdrag av regeringen arbetar med frågan hur digitala miljöer och bland annat näthat påverkar vår delaktighet i demokratin. Nu tilldelas Det demokratiska samtalet utmärkelsen Månadens Nätängel av mySafety Försäkringar, vilket innebär att kommittén automatiskt är nominerad till priset Årets Nätängel som i november varje år delas ut av mySafety.

    Med Månadens Nätängel vill mySafety lyfta fler individer och organisationer som gör det där…

    ”Vår demokrati och rätt till yttrandefrihet är ett fundament i det svenska samhället. Hat, hot och kränkningar på nätet leder däremot i allt större utsträckning till att många tystnar. Det demokratiska samtalet gör ett oerhört viktigt arbete med att sätta fokus på problemet och gör riktade insatser som motverkar förekomsten av näthat”.

    Guldäpplejuryns Särskilda Pris delas ut till en eller flera personer som har uträttat långvariga, betydelsefulla insatser för främjande av lärande med stöd av it och medier.

    Carl Heath har blivit ett begrepp för svensk skola. Först med spridning av tankar och exempel kring spelbaserat lärande, på senare år i arbetet med makerrörelsen i Sverige. Med perspektivet att "IT är ett material", har Carl gjort de digitala resurserna gripbara för barn, ungdomar och lärare i hela…
