YILPORT Oslo Moves Towards Zero Emissions with Electric Terminal Tractor Tests Throughout the summer, YILPORT Oslo conducted a test run of an electric terminal tractor in collaboration with Maritime Truck, an Oslo-based leader in the rental of forklifts and terminal tractors, taking a significant step towards a greener future. The test run results were impressive: The electric terminal tractor performed excellently, completing full shifts without any need for recharging. Following this initial success, the tractor is expected to return to YILPORT Oslo in early 2025, when Maritime Truck will carry out additional operational tests during the winter. Currently, Maritime Truck has a total of 13 diesel-powered terminal tractors in use at YILPORT Oslo. When replaced with electric machines, the terminal will reduce diesel consumption by 180,000 liters per year. With this transition from diesel to an energy-efficient, electric fleet, the entire chain of tractors will operate more sustainably, which aligns with the Port of Oslo’s ambitious goal to become emission-free on land by 2025 and positions YILPORT Oslo as one of the world’s 1st zero-emission container terminals. #yilportoslo #yilportnordic #yilportholding #YILDIRIMGroup #gamechanger #Sustainability #ZeroEmission
