🚀 The Red Door Analytics Winter School 2024 was a huge success - it was five packed days of courses on "Statistical methods for population-based cancer survival analysis" and "Joint modelling of longitudinal and survival data". We want to thank all of the 27 participants for joining us in Stockholm, along with our stellar faculty! The feedback forms have been rolling in, and we're thrilled to hear such positive comments ⬇️ 🎙️ "Both the courses were excellent, the Winter School as a whole was really well run, and was good value for money in comparison to other courses in similar areas. I would definitely return to another Winter School for different training courses!" - PhD student, University of Leicester 🗓️ We have already begun plans for next year, so stay tuned for Winter School news in the new year! Can't wait that long? We'll be announcing our line up of online courses in the next couple of weeks! 🚀 #biostatistics #epidemiology #training

🚀 Our third and final day! Today's session of "Flexible parametric survival analysis: An introduction to concepts, methods & software" focuses on post-estimation tools, such as model-based predictions. Sara is taking participants through a wide range of both conditional and marginal predictions, discussing their calculation, usage settings and interpretation 👌 #onlinetraining #survivalanalysis #flexibleparametricmodels

🚀 Day 2 is here! Today's session of our online training course "Flexible parametric survival analysis: An introduction to concepts, methods & software" takes an in-depth look at modelling time-dependent effects (non-proportional hazards) and flexible parametric models on the log hazard scale 📈👩🏫 #onlinetraining #survivalanalysis #flexibleparametricmodels

🚀 What a flying start! The first session of our online training course "Flexible parametric survival analysis: An introduction to concepts, methods & software" has begun. Today, Sara is taking the participants through the fundamental concepts of time-to-event data, before introducing splines and flexible parametric survival models, including the Royston-Parmar model. We are excited to see what the upcoming days will bring! 🥳 #onlinetraining #survivalanalysis #flexibleparametricmodels

Our CEO, Michael Crowther, is working hard to convince his family to name these two fluff-balls after our advanced survival analysis software packages, #merlin and #morgana - we're not sure he's going to succeed! Comment below with your suggestions for names for the brother and sister pair, or just share to put some borderline illegal cuteness into everyone's feed today! #companycats 😻

🚨 Registration closing this Wednesday, 18th September, for our upcoming online course "Flexible parametric survival analysis: An introduction to concepts, methods & software". This course will provide an introduction to flexible parametric survival models, restricted cubic splines, and post-estimation predictions, and runs in three sessions over three days: Session 1️⃣: Brief review of time-to-event data and introduction to splines and flexible parametric survival models, including the Royston-Parmar model and the spline-based Cox model. Session 2️⃣: Extensions to modelling time-dependent effects (i.e., non-proportional hazards). Session 3️⃣: Predictions from flexible parametric survival models, interpretable measures of risk, conditional and marginal measures. 🗓️ Monday - Wednesday, 23rd - 25th September 2024 ⏰ 13:30-17:00 (CEST) 👩🏫 Dr Sara Ekberg, Principal Biostatistician 💻 #Stata 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dkDHMCgd #onlinetraining #survivalanalysis #statistics

🚀 Our third and final day! Today's session of "Longitudinal analysis: An introduction to concepts, methods & software" focuses on post-estimation tools, such as model-based predictions that can be obtained after fitting linear mixed-effects models, including residuals. Alessandro will be working through both population-level and subject-specific predictions, discussing their calculation, usage settings and interpretation 👌 #onlinetraining #longitudinalanalysis
