Last week, Lumera had the privilege of participating as jury members in Dream Challenge at Slättgårdsskolan in Stockholm. Initiated by A Million Minds Sverige, Dream Challenge is a motivational program and competition designed to inspire and empower young people in Million Programme areas to pursue their dream professions. Over the past weeks, these talented students have been shaping their personal roadmaps for success, learning how to set up budgets, and thinking creatively. On this day, they shared their visions of becoming architects, psychologists, entrepreneurs, teachers—and even future presidents! “We were incredibly impressed by these young people and the hard work they put into their presentations. It was inspiring to listen to their future plans and have a dialogue about how they will achieve their goals. Who knows? Last Thursday marked Lumera’s 6th Volunteering Day, this time supporting Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care at their warehouse in Farnborough. Our team joined Hospice staff in sorting and pricing items for their big Christmas sale, helping raise vital funds for this incredible charity. We are happy to share that our Homework Hub continues to grow, with around 20 participants joining us yesterday. Thank you to Jonas Alfredson, for kicking off the session with an inspiring "Lumera story" which was well-received by all the students📘✨ It was an evening of diverse learning: from life cycle analysis emphasizing the importance of sustainability, to complex math challenges expertly guided by Pontus Maniette. We also explored the power of dreams through a student's book review about a young boy aiming to be a professional soccer player. Whether it was geometry, history, or ethics, the enthusiasm for learning was tangible. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this session a pleasant one.
