In the days leading up to Christmas I´d love to shine extra light on amazing creators who always so generously support others, lift them up and work tirelessly behind-the-scenes to make a real, positive difference. When I shared my vision for Arts Dynamics and how I wanted to be able to provide a safe space for artists and creative professionals to figure out how to navigate turbulent times, embrace new technology and surf the waves of change, these thought leaders immediately leaned in and said yes to be featured on my podcast and share their knowhow. I am immensely grateful for that, and we are really just getting started. Before new sessions are being launched, let´s do a recap of 2024 and what we've done so far. Todays special guest is the one and only Niclas Molinder and we had a super empowering session about "The Future of Music Industry Data and Rights Awareness" The achilles heal of the music industry - and creator economy - in general. After 20 years of songwriting and producing for artists as Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Mary J Blige and The Jonas Brothers, as well as running his own publishing company RedFly Music – the Swedish entrepreneur decided to be part of solving the value gap in the music industry. In 2014, Niclas Molinder founded SessionStudio, the world’s first independent global hub for authoritative pre registration music metadata sourced from creators together with Max Martin, Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA and Avicii originator Ash Pournouri. Molinder's vision is to create and set a standard for how music creators and their representatives internationally are identified with their roles in song so everyone can get credited and correctly compensated when their music is used. He also founded Music Rights Awareness Foundation together with Max Martin and Björn Ulvaeus – an apolitical foundation that works to increase knowledge of music rights worldwide, adjusted to the future industry. Music Rights Awareness Foundation is together with the UN agency WIPO behind the unique rights awareness platform CLIP. CLIP aim to raise awareness and increase knowledge of creators’ rights and related management practices, ensuring recognition and fair reward for all creators regardless of their geographical, cultural or economic conditions.With the support of creators, other stakeholders and governments across the globe, it will form a truly open and inclusive community. It will work together to improve networks and infrastructure supporting the growth of creative industries everywhere. Have you ever had an experience where you are being forced to slow down, which at the moment feels like a stressor, but in the end turns out to be exactly what you needed at that point? In fact, it could even be the big breakthrough you´ve been holding out for - the universe just needed to nudge you in the right direction for you to step into the fire and turn that coal of yours into a rock solid 💎. A few days ago I broke a bone in my foot during my Muay Thai sparring. #Lisfranc Apparently a rather horrible injury. Or so it can be (I am currently in a plaster cast and have to use crutches ❄️) I am lucky however to have great support, to be otherwise very healthy and also implement high performance habits on a daily basis so even though this was a setback I knew it would work itself out. And so it has so far #touchwood During these past few days I´ve been forced to streamline my business (killing some darlings, moving everything online and simplify operations for ease of creation, marketing, lead generation and sales). Clients have stepped up, leaned in and are very supportive (can highly recommend working with great, high agency-clients, it is so worth it!) Tested my high performance habits to the limits (they work) Pushed back the beta-launch of my new Arts Dynamics digital course in Arts Entrepreneurship to next week (more on that later, want to know more? Send me a DM with the comment "ADECourse" to be on the inside when invitations are being sent out to the first people). And finally discovered that your best friends really are your best friends for a reason (thank you all, you know who you are 🙏). Thank you also Jessika Kamblad and team at Lavendo Consulting AB for believing in me and the vision for what we are building here. This, among other reasons, is why I am so passionate about building your own digital eco-system as a creator to be fully location independent AND - and this is a big AND - to be able to create and monetise on your own terms, 24/7 all year round, no matter what happens.
