Online Ticketing and Reserved Entry Time

Reservations are strongly recommended as it expedites your entry into the Garden. Walk-in admission on high-volume days may be subject to wait times. The Garden does not process cash transactions.

Ticket times indicate your estimated arrival time. Guests are free to remain until closing time upon entering.

For quick entry, show your mobile or printed ticket at the Welcome Center. You may leave and return on the same day by receiving a re-entry stamp at our Welcome Center.

Members receive free admission. Please make your member reservation and have your membership card and ID ready to show at the Welcome Center. Reservations are not required for Member Guest Tickets, AHS reciprocal members and Museums For All admissions. These admissions can only be redeemed in person at our Welcome Center.   

Please note: The Garden is closed on Tuesdays.

Winter Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 pm. (last ticket entry at 3 p.m. for walkups)

Closed Tuesdays

Open most holidays. Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Specials

Through the Museums for All program, visitors who receive food assistance can gain reduced admission to SDBG. The Museums for All rate of $1 per person will apply to any bearer of a state-issued SNAP EBT card or Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) card with valid photo ID. Advance online reservations are not necessary for Museums for All tickets. Admission must be purchased in person at the Garden on the day of entry by presenting a SNAP EBT or WIC card and ID. The rate of $1 is applicable for daytime admission only and will apply to a maximum of four individuals. Please be prepared to pay credit or debit cards. The Garden does not process cash transactions.

 

 

Play big and save big! San Diego Botanic Garden is a participating location for Kids Free October in collaboration with the San Diego Museum Council and San Diego Tourism Authority. From Oct. 1 – Oct. 31, the offer allows up to one free youth (under 18) with the purchase of each full-price adult. Get the coupon here. Donation Requests

The Donation Request process is currently on pause until late January 2025 while we focus on the upcoming Lightscape season. All requests submitted prior to 11/1/2024 will be honored if they met the requirements laid out in the application. Thank you for your understanding!

Classes & Public Event Tickets

Special tickets are required to attend classes, public events, many tours, and other unique activities. These events and classes may have special pricing, special hours, and/or other special requirements.
