General Job Description: This position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the payroll related accounts by reviewing and auditing multiple payroll systems and reports within a complex accounting system.
Responsible for determining the need for new accounts and revisions or updates to the current accounting structure.
Research and provide in depth coaching and development of the payroll staff regarding updates to complex payroll transactions including but not limited to payroll coding, transaction adjustments, union wage increases.
Supervises: None Essential Duties & Responsibilities Extensive coaching and development of team members based on in-depth knowledge and understanding of payroll processes.
Review and update worker’s compensation data for new and current employee set ups Review and update new or current union wage sheets/rates and fringe.
Evaluate processes for possible improvements.
Consulting with partners and other leaders including but not limited to union related CBAs.
Assess business needs to improve current strategies.
May perform/assist in audits; prepare and submit materials requested by auditors.
May assist in payroll adjustments, retroactive pay; review timesheets; correct inaccuracies.
Ensuring that processes abide by compensation and tax regulations.
Report to management on payroll issues Customer service; be able to correctly answer employee’s payroll-related questions.
Create and document new procedures that will streamline processes.
Be able to run the complete payroll process independently.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or accounting 8+ years of payroll experience; union payroll experience a plus.
Excellent math and organization skills Deep knowledge of State and Federal payroll and tax regulations Working knowledge of Excel, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP Excellent analytical skills Hands on experience with payroll software/s Able to successfully train team mates on current or new payroll related procedures.

This individual must be a responsible person and regular attendance is required.
Hours : This is a part-time, non-exempt position from Monday through Friday.
Working hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks.
Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary, per business needs.
Competitive Wages: $33.
31 to $43.
10 per hour.
