Hey there!
I'm a 32 year old male professional, with 3 dogs, looking for a roommate to split the rent with me in this big gorgeous home on the east side, at the foot of Mt.
Olympus.
A bit about me:
-32m as I said
-I work from home and have a stable career in corporate management
-I have 3 dogs.
One is a mid size (65 pounds) older well behaved gentleman.
The other 2 are male and female, just under 2 years old, and they're very large guard dogs (100 pounds and 115 pounds) that still need training and work
-I usually spend my evenings training martial arts
Some information about what is available for rent:
The house is a 5 bed, 3 bath, 2 living room, 2 fireplace, 2800 sq foot brick home, east of Wasatch boulevard and at the foot of mount Olympus
The home has a large backyard with a fireplace, that looks up at Mt.
Oly
The home has very quick and easy access to the freeway (I-215)
The home is just minutes away from the Millcreek Canyon recreation area, and there are even hiking trails in the neighborhood itself
You would be paying $1150 + utilities (we pay all utilities).
Total rent is $2500.
I pay $1350, you pay $1150.
With that rent you basically get your own 2 bed, 1 bath, 1 living room apartment, with your own private entrance.
I have included pics of the two rooms and the downstairs living room.
Your living room also includes a fireplace.
Both of your rooms and living room have hardwood floors.
One of the two bedrooms is very big, and is almost a second master bedroom, with a walk in closet.
Admittedly, the downstairs bathroom isn't that great, so if you would like to have the home's only full size bathroom (which is upstairs), I'm sure that we could make that work.
My bedroom has a small attached bathroom which is what I use.
My ideal roommate:
-is someone generally/vaguely around my age (26-36/38) although age is not a deal breaker
-does not have kids
-does not have pets*
*(if you have an indoor cat that would generally stay in your space that could work - my 2 young dogs have no experience around cats and they have generally been aggressive to other animals they do not know.
although once I have a roommate come in, I will be putting in a gate/divider on the stairs that will keep them out of your downstairs quasi-apartment.
If you have hamsters/rats/birds/snakes/reptiles/pets that mostly reside in an enclosure, that is no problem at all)
-has a stable careeer/income
-does not have drug or addiction problems (I am 420 friendly and occasionally drink)
Lastly, and I don't mean to be weird with this part but it's necessary to include/mention:
my 2 young dogs are aggressive with men that they don't know.
A female roommate would be ideal as they would not have to worry about their behavior.
A guy roommate is completely and totally okay with me, you just need to know the issue that my dogs have.
Like any dog - I know that my 2 youngins could acclimate and adapt and get used to you over time.
I would take appropriate measures to acclimate them to you.
If you're willing to work with them/me and you're aware of the issue that needs to be overcome, a guy is 110% okay.
Wrapping this up:
I am looking for a roommate to move in and start paying rent by February 1st at the latest.
If you wanted to move in before that, that totally works for me! We would just need to figure out pro-rated rent for January.
Rent is $1150.
As for your deposit - we would need to figure something out.
Technically there is already a full deposit that is on the books for the lease.
But I would need something from you so that my deposit is not in jeopardy for something that you do/did.
We can work that out separately but $1150 is basically what you would need to move in.
Lastly, my lease agreement with the owner is month-to-month.
So if we find that the situation does not work for you, you wouldn't be locked into a lengthy lease.
However, once I find the right roommate I am wanting to do a 6-12 month lease.
Please text or email if you are interested.
I look forward to hearing from you and possibly meeting/living with you!
