Duties Develops a variety of reports and correspondence, including, but not limited to, congressional and judicial inquiries, U.
S.
Attorney sentence reduction requests, administrative remedies, requests for exemption to policy, informational reports, and general correspondence.
Forecasts and estimates program requirements and prepares programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical, and narrative data for top level presentations and briefings.
Serves as a technical and administrative resource and liaison for the comprehensive planning, preparation, and coordination of divisional and Bureau of Prisons policy with personnel at all levels of the organization.
Assists in the managing and coordination of division functions required for program review analysis (i.
e.
, strategic planning, management assessment, and program analysis).
Provides expertise and assistance to the Branch Chief and the Health Services Division’s Executive Staff by developing new policy, revising current policy, and by identifying potentially conflicting policies in other areas or divisions.

OR Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service.
To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience in analyzing information to identify trends and issues, make recommendations in the formulation, establishment or modification of program objectives, plans, and/or policies related to a health services operation.
Experience in the development and management of health services programs or revising existing programs and evaluating them for effectiveness and efficiency.
Experience in analyzing program operations, operational effectiveness and functions of a health services program.
Experience conducting management surveys, projects, and providing advisory services to management.
