The Building Maintenance Department is comprised of two departments: the Ski Area Maintenance which oversees the Ski Area Facilities and the Engineering/Hospitality Maintenance which oversees our Lodging Facilities.
The qualifying candidate will perform the daily multi-tasking administrative operations of the Building Maintenance, Facilities, and Engineering Departments specifically, and assist with all department activities including file management, inventory, purchasing, payroll, tracking and scheduling in a fast paced environment.
Job Specifications: Expected Pay Range: $24.

00 / Hour Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round Skill Level: Intermediate, Advanced Job Responsibilities: Field telephone calls for Ski Area Maintenance Department and Hospitality/Engineering Departments.
Daily monitoring/logging and coordinating maintenance requests.
Process all maintenance requests, ensuring data is accurate and ready for review/close Assist in scheduling daily work orders and projects and dispatching manpower and outside contractors Payroll processing and accuracy check via PeopleSoft Follow up with requesters to determine needs and priorities Convert maintenance requests from e-mail/messages/phone into work orders using Maintenance Connection software Assisting in ordering of materials and inventory as necessary Coordinate work orders for rental units on Rental Program based on occupancy/availability Financial responsibilities include review and verification of billable work for interdepartmental /rental program /and 3rd party accounts.
Produce end of month reports and billings for Building Maintenance and Engineering departments Check our Lodging Management System (LMS) daily to put rental units in and out of service and monitor occupancy.
Ensure Building Maintenance Departments are up to date with codes and standards compliance.
Contracts: Ensure all Outside Vendors are in compliance with our Contracts Policy and Insurance requirements Responsible for superior guest service interactions with guests, employees and vendors within the department Understand corporate and resort specific policies and procedures, as well as departmental Best Practices.
Assist in monitoring of our Point Central temperatures and locking systems Produce reports as needed (by location/trade, etc) Attend all company and department training programs as required Create signage as requested Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisors.
Coordinate radio maintenance Update our Green Drivers List to ensure compliance Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Must be able to work in a team environment based on the Vail Commitment and Values.
Requires the ability to communicate orally and in writing with some precision in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Must possess a firm understanding of basic mathematical skills.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact with guests and customers of the resort in a friendly and accommodating manner.
Requires advanced experience with Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint) Experience with Lodging Management Software, Maintenance Connection (or other SQL based maintenance tracking software), Coupa, PeopleSoft, On Base, and Point Central a plus.
Additional experience in the resort industry is preferred.
Certificate from a college or technical school with a focus on Administration/Accounting preferred; three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
