The version of ASP.NET Core Identity should match your .NET version for everything to work correctly. 2. Different versions of Identity and ASP.NET Core have different features and APIs, so mismatched versions can cause errors. 3. Identity packages depend on other packages, like Entity Framework, which must also be compatible with your .NET version. 4. Using different versions might cause problems when trying to update the database or run migrations. 5. Matching versions helps keep your app secure with the latest bug fixes and improvements. 6. If the versions don't match, the Identity pages you scaffold may not work properly. 7. To avoid these issues, always make sure the version of Identity matches the version of your ASP.NET Core project.
