𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚. 𝐄𝐬𝐭. 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟗 Today, we begin the countdown to our 25th anniversary, which we will celebrate in December. Reaching the age of 25 marks a significant milestone of maturity, crucial for us to improve and make our country better, especially during what is arguably the darkest period in its modern history. Throughout these years, the political landscape and the government's stance towards us have evolved. Despite facing numerous challenges and discriminatory labels, we have persevered and continue our mission. Russia will undoubtedly achieve freedom, including freedom from corruption.

𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 🏥🌍 Transparency International Russia has released a new report (https://lnkd.in/dsuVF3Nn) exposing corruption and money laundering risks in the import of high-tech medical equipment to Russia. Intermediaries in Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Turkey play a central role in bypassing sanctions, enabling inflated prices and compromised quality. 🔍 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: – Many intermediaries are registered under fake addresses and linked to dubious import schemes. – Prices for MRI machines, CT scanners, and other equipment increase by 50% or more in grey supply chains. – Patients are at risk due to unverified, low-quality equipment entering the market. As Natalia Korotonozhkina, the report’s author and TI-Russia's Dirty Money workstream analyst, explains: "To import medical equipment from the U.S. and EU, Russian companies rely on intermediaries in third countries. This creates uncertainty, which corrupt actors exploit to inflate prices through shell companies or affiliated partners." ⚠️ 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Unchecked grey supply chains threaten not only financial transparency but also patient safety. Faulty or improperly delivered equipment can have life-threatening consequences. The full report is available in Russian here: https://lnkd.in/dsuVF3Nn

𝟐𝟓 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝𝐲 Today, Transparency International Russia celebrates its 25th anniversary—a milestone that marks a quarter-century of dedication to the fight against corruption. For a quarter of a century, our country has undergone significant changes, yet our principles remain unshaken: openness, integrity, and the relentless pursuit of justice. 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. Bribes in hospitals have become a grim reality for obtaining quality care. Fraud in construction leads to collapsing buildings and tragic loss of life. Corruption in law enforcement allows criminals to roam free while victims are left without recourse. The darkest manifestation of corruption is 𝐰𝐚𝐫. We know: without corruption, there would be no war with Ukraine—neither the aggression of 2014 nor the full-scale invasion of 2022. This tragedy stems from a system built on decades of lies, lawlessness, and disregard for its citizens. For 25 years, we have conducted investigations, shared knowledge, trained individuals, and supported those who choose the path of integrity, striving to make the world a better place. Their unwavering commitment to justice and human dignity inspires us all to believe in the power of solidarity. By supporting OVD-Info, you are not only helping victims of injustice but also contributing to the broader fight for freedom and human rights. Together, we can make a difference. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬! Each year, The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project designates its 'Person of the Year' — a symbolic "title" given to individuals whose actions have caused significant harm to their countries and societies. Corruption is not just about stolen money. It fuels wars, destroys cities, leaves schools empty, creates poverty, and shatters infrastructure. Corruption devastates entire continents and robs future generations of their opportunities. In 2014, this "title" was awarded to Vladimir Putin, and in 2022, to Yevgeny Prigozhin. This year, you can help decide the next "laureate." Nominations are open until December 5. Who would you add to the "Wall of Shame"? 👇 https://lnkd.in/dY97pmBt
