Examples include machines, motor vehicles, equipment, and buildings, among others. 🔷 Accrued expenses: this term describe the costs incurred by a company that have not yet been paid for. 🔷 Equity: it is the net amount of funds invested in a business by its owners, plus any retained earnings. 🔷 Retained earnings: this term means the profits that a company has earned to date, less any dividends or other distributions paid to investors. 🔷 EBIT (Earnings Before Interest and Taxes): it is one of the last subtotals in the income statement before net income and is a measurement of company’s profitability. 🔷 EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization): it is a metric used to evaluate a company’s operating performance. #finance

Is Employer Branding the best way to attract top talent to your company? I recently met up with an old friend who works as a producer at a marketing agency here in Serbia. She mentioned that most of their clients, major corporations, are now focusing on creating videos to strengthen their position as a top employer in the region. This got us talking about how important employer branding is. It’s true that showcasing a company’s values and benefits helps build a pipeline of potential candidates. However, based on my experience as both a candidate and recruiter, the best performers look for something different: ⚫ A clear and concise job description with no buzzwords and fluff. ⚫ A realistic list of job responsibilities that one person can actually handle.  ⚫ A transparent salary range in the job description, even if it's just the lower limit. ⚫ An organized and streamlined interview process, free from endless calls and unnecessary steps. So, you can be putting thousands of $$ into your employer branding strategy, but if you don’t get these basics right, you will still struggle to fill your most important positions.
