Bekah Congdon is a deputy managing editor at Reason. Her dynamic background includes positions at organizations such as the Cato Institute and the Libertarian Party (L.P.).
During her tenure as communications director at the L.P., Bekah spearheaded a significant redesign of LP News, transforming it into a vibrant magazine that resonated with readers. She also launched the Cato Institute's new magazine, Free Society.
In 2020, Bekah ran a protest campaign in Texas' 28th congressional district election as Republicans in the state were working to change laws that would make it extremely difficult for third parties to achieve ballot access. She used that campaign to speak about overbearing ballot access laws as an extension of voter suppression.
Bekah enjoys writing about topics ranging from civil liberties to personal autonomy to the intersection of American evangelicalism and politics.
She lives in Atlanta with her partner, Ryan. Follow her on X!
