Status: Part Time (Up to 4 hours, 1 Day per week) Compensation: $15.

*Position Summary*
The YMCA of the Palouse is seeking passionate mentors to join our team to make a positive impact with the youth we serve on Wednesday afternoons in partnership with Pullman Community Montessori.
Youth Development Staff are responsible for helping supervise, organize, and implement the YMCA’s half day enrichment program provided to Pullman Community Montessori Charter School (PCM) during scheduled Wednesdays and some Thursdays/Fridays between 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM for grades K-7 during the 2023/2024 school calendar year.
Limited hours, yes, but a great opportunity for individuals in the community wanting to make a positive impact on youth and education.
The enrichment service that the YMCA provides gives PCM teachers the opportunity to be involved in professional development.
Applicants *MUST BE AVAILABLE *on scheduled Wednesdays from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM through the 2023/2024 school calendar year.
Opportunities for more hours may be available, but not guaranteed, depending on staffing needs.
*Responsibilities:*
* Help supervise and implement enrichment activities to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth of children ages 5-13 under supervision of the YMCA Director of Programs Administrator and partnership with Pullman Community Montessori .
* Attend staff meetings and trainings.
*Qualifications: *
1.
Relevant youth development, classroom, or program experience working with children ages 5-13 preferred.
2.
Must be able to work independently and keep a structured and orderly program of 10 to 15 youth.
3.
High-school diploma preferred.
5.
Pass an OSPI fingerprint background check at own expense.
If cleared and hired, receive reimbursement after 90 days of employment.
