What if What if we worked collaboratively between NHS E/ Dept of Health/ Department for education to have a Health and Social care cross departmental strategy to evaluate the Positive and proactive impact of multiple pathfinder and family safeguarding models on use and outcomes of CYP services? https://lnkd.in/eBjQgpeF What if our workforce plan trained our amazing social workers in suicide prevention , maternal and paternal family universal level - psychological support. Psychological level interventions to support attachment and psychological safety in families. Parenting support to help families navigate and coach their children through bullying. A known risk to mental health. And a parenting family support route / pathway in Talking therapies What if the joint training plan recconnected our Family therapists, our Psychologists and our very expert family intervention colleagues to provide group supervision and intervention to be trauma sensitive and our colleagues and staff dealing with extreme trauma to also have on tap psychological support. What if we could collaborate to have multiple local authority partners to collaborate and would lead an evaluation and pilot that was already embedded with successful outcomes and we had an evaluation of working in this model from both nhs and social care outcomes. New metrics and this could show and clearly change children and family outcomes and reduce NHS activity? Pre and post metrics of family and individual outcomes. Depression in parents and child mental health scales, incidence of self harm and family cohesion. Measuring the impact of parenting support to reduce the harmful impact of harsh words, conflict and family distress? Does anyone want to help me make it happen? Why. Because our children and families need us and because the cost of mental ill health to Mums, Dads and our kids is huge and to UK plc is astronomical.. 🙏

We have the Budget today and many very hard decisions we will have to make in response to National decisions. Will MH, Learning Disability and Neuro-developmental pathways be supported? https://lnkd.in/eBdTGijP What are the implications of not being named specifically in the budget? What are the implications if your population is in a high risk area, with significant levels of need. Understanding the context is key.

Virtual Wards – South East Region Evaluation Report A virtual ward evaluation report by PPL provides some interesting observations on the use of virtual wards in the South East of England. (Virtual wards are an ICS-endorsed initiative that allows patients to receive care at ‘home’, rather than hospital – part of the ‘get them out of and away from hospitals’ policy adopted across the NHS.) The study, conducted over two years, analysed over 22,000 admissions across 29 South East virtual wards (49% of the South East’s overall VW capacity). It focuses on the impact and cost-effectiveness of admission-avoidance pathways, and highlights benefits such as the positive impact on avoided non-elective admissions and a strong return on investment, whilst also identifying areas for improvement (e.g., the reduction of health inequalities). At PM Healthcare we recognise the importance of the virtual ward model – all ICBs have invested in the initiative, to agreed standards and definitions. The PPL study provides a timely and useful evaluation of this ‘Mae West’ policy, believed to deliver not just an alternative to hospital admission, but also providing a raft of other benefits to patients. If Ofsted issue a notice of restriction or suspension, they will hold a case review. They need to act quickly so it is the norm at the case review to hear the verbal evidence from the inspector only. There is no EBR (evidence base review) at this stage which is to determine that the evidence collected at inspection supports the judgement and enforcement action. It may be worth appealing to the first tier tribunal who will expedite the hearing as per attached MOU. This will most likely trigger an EBR within Ofsted and, in some cases, the conclusion is that the evidence does not support the heavy enforcement action. Ofsted will then withdraw before it gets to tribunal.
