One of today's biggest challenges is managing talent and the knowledge inherent in it. This condition has led companies and organisations to define the coaching process as a possible alternative for executives, leaders and managers as well as employees to strengthen existing skills or discover new ones to achieve high performance. According to Beatriz Sidrim, the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) in Portugal has unintentionally created a two-tier system for immigrants. Those who can afford to pay lawyers are able to expedite their cases through the courts, effectively jumping ahead in the queue. Meanwhile, individuals without the financial means are left behind, facing long delays and bureaucratic obstacles. Sidrim argues that this situation is creating “immigrants of first and second classes,” with the most vulnerable suffering the consequences. In my view, this highlights a profound failure in how we manage migration and legal processes. The fact that financial resources can dictate the speed and quality of one’s access to justice and basic services is not only unfair but contributes to social stratification. Vulnerable populations, who should be receiving the most support, are instead facing systemic barriers. #Immigration #SocialJustice #Portugal
