The main purpose of this study is to get acquainted with forensic mycology in the process of investigating different criminal cases and the need for the criminal system to benefit from this new method. Fungi exist in many environments, in grounds, air, air conditioners, bathrooms of houses, on wet floors, showers, dirty, and wet laundry, in dark, and humid environments as cellars, and attics and other places. Fungi can be used in criminal investigations for investigating cause of death, time of death, locating buried corpses, providing trace evidence, hallucinations, or poisonings, biological warfare and ascertaining time of deposition. In Iran, fungi have not been used in criminal investigations, although the use of fungi for these studies in the future is inevitable. WHO Expands List of Top Regulatory Authorities for Medical Products 🌍💊 The World Health Organization (WHO) has approved 33 additional national and regional regulatory authorities as WHO Listed Authorities (WLAs), recognizing them for meeting the highest standards of regulatory practices for the quality, safety, and efficacy of medicines and vaccines. This expansion brings the total to 36 regulatory authorities from 34 Member States designated as WLAs since the initiative's launch in March 2022. Newly Approved WLAs Include: U.S. Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) European Medicines Regulatory Network (EMRN): Comprising the European Commission, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and regulatory authorities from 30 countries including Austria, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore: Now with expanded regulatory functions. Key Points: Significance: This designation signifies compliance with international standards and a commitment to continuous improvement in regulatory oversight. Impact: Strengthens global efforts to ensure the availability of safe and effective medicines and vaccines. Leadership: WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Dr. Yukiko Nakatani, Assistant Director-General, emphasized the importance of these approvals for global public health.
