Happy Tuesday Friends!! 😎🥳 We've posted a few times about meditation and the benefits it provides the mind and the body, but we've never really dove into exactly how to get started. Especially for a beginner! Here are a few simple steps to ease meditation into your routine, especially if you're facing a lot of anxiety: 1. Focus on your breath: Bring your attention to your breath, feeling the sensation of the air moving in and out of your nostrils. When your mind wanders, gently bring it back to your breath. 2. Progressive muscle relaxation: Tense and then relax different muscle groups in your body, starting with your toes and moving up to your head. This can help release physical tension. 3. Loving-kindness meditation: Focus on sending kind thoughts to yourself and others. Repeat phrases like "May I be happy, may I be healthy, may I be at peace" and "May all beings be happy, may all beings be healthy, may all beings be at peace." 4. Mantra repetition: Choose a simple word or phrase, such as "om" or "I am calm," and repeat it to yourself during meditation. This can help calm your mind and focus your attention. 5. Grounding techniques: Use your senses to ground yourself in the present moment. For example, focus on the feeling of your feet on the ground, the sounds around you, or the sensation of the air on your skin. Limit the amount of time you spend on chores that don't conflict with your priorities. 2) The Two-Minute Rule. Immediately take care of anything that takes under two minutes to complete, so your to-do list stays short. 3) Make Use of Web Blockers. Prevent access to websites that may distract you and stay focused. 4) Incorporate Colour into Your EnvironmentEmbrace the colours red and blue to improve your ability to concentrate and be creative. 5) Play Some Background Music. Enhance your focus by listening to music that directs your attention. 6) Combine Related Tasks in One Batch. Organise related jobs into groups and work on them all at once to increase efficiency. 7) Steer clear of multitasking. Focus on one work at a time to improve productivity and quality. 8) Matrix of Important/Urgen. Use the Eisenhower Matrix to efficiently prioritise your work. 9) The Pomodoro Method. Focused work sessions and frequent breaks will help you maintain high productivity and avoid burnout. 10) For recurring tasks, use templates. Make templates for repetitive chores to save time. Bitcoin, the world's biggest and best-known cryptocurrency, has more than doubled from the year's low of $38,505 it hit on Jan 23. It was last at $80,829 in Asian hours having touched a record high $81,464 earlier in the session. Smaller cryptocurrency Ether rose above $3,200 for the first time in over three months. It was last fetching $3,192. The cryptocurrency industry spent more than $119 million backing pro-crypto US congressional candidates in the hope of getting crypto-friendly legislation passed to promote digital assets. The effort succeeded last week, with many of the industry's chosen candidates winning their races, potentially ushering in a Congress poised to champion crypto. "Bitcoin's Trump-pump is alive and well... with Republicans on the cusp of taking the house to confirm a red wave in congress, it seems the crypto crowd are betting on digital-currency deregulation," said Matt Simpson, senior market analyst at City Index.
