Founded in 2016, The Land Group is an independent real assets manager and operator specialising in regenerative agriculture with 40,000 hectares of farmland under operation. We help institutional and family office investors gain well-managed exposure to the farmland asset class, using innovative approaches to deliver consistent and environmentally sustainable investment returns to our clients. Behind the financial numbers we report to our clients - which ultimately measure our performance - exists a real organisation with real people operating real assets such as farmland, livestock, water resources and infrastructure. We tried to convey this with this short clip focused on our Uruguayan operation. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed producing it. www.the-land-group.com Joaquin Labella, CFA Manuel Cardoso Pinto Juan Pedro Scremini Ortiz de Taranco Nicolas Garcia Ortiz de Taranco AeroPro Drones Mayco Mateos Arasil

Weekly highlight: Big changes ahead at La Victoria 🌱 Our team Raúl Culnev, Juan Pedro Scremini Ortiz de Taranco, and Federico Garcia Coccaro have planned the following steps to complete La Victoria’s transition to a full regenerative grazing model with 3,000 breeding cows over the next two to three months. 🐮 To do so, they have developed a fully integrated adaptive multi-paddock (AMP) system composed of modular electrical fence and water distribution systems to manage rotations dynamically according to resource availability, livestock health and climate conditions. 🔄 Our AMP system is composed of several elements. We use primary fixed fences (longitudinal) and secondary movable fences (transversal) to create a series of individual paddocks as small as 5 to 15 hectares each. Our cattle will access these paddocks through long corridors made of primary fences and equipped with underground water pipes supplied from a water tank that collects rainfall and from the farm’s natural waterways. These pipes, in turn, supply mobile water troughs that our team moves to occupied paddocks to make fresh water readily available to our cattle. We will complete this system with an extended health management path, which is, in essence, a long corridor made of fixed fences that we use to access cattle and take care of their health. Transitioning from conventional to regenerative grazing is never an easy process. In La Victoria’s specific case, we must also contend with challenging superficial soil conditions requiring our team’s utmost attention. However, moving away from the original extensive grazing model to more intensive, regenerative adaptive grazing will optimise forage use, prevent overgrazing, and regenerate soil health. It will thus be better for our livestock, soils, biodiversity, and ultimately for our bottom line. A win-win-win-win, if you will! 🔛

Is regenerative agriculture the key to solving climate challenges and feeding a growing population? 💡 In case you missed it, Francisco Roque de Pinho chatted to Paul Ellis on The Sustainable Finance Podcast to discuss how adaptive grazing helps mitigate soil degradation, is critical to transforming agriculture and creates long-term value for investors. What’s your take: are we investing enough in sustainable solutions or does the sector need a major push? Drop your thoughts below! ⬇️ Catch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/ezMFMdhv #SustainableFinance #RegenerativeAgriculture #ImpactInvesting #ClimateAction

Vamo Arriba! ⬆️ I heard this expression many times during my 14-day trip to 🇺🇾, and it perfectly sums up my visit to the country where The Land Group was born. I visited six estancias during my stay, stopped in Mercedes to visit the offices, and went to Montevideo to meet business partners. I enjoyed finally meeting the team Juan Pedro Scremini Ortiz de Taranco Nicolas Garcia Ortiz de Taranco , Federico Garcia Coccaro , Leandro Hernández Graña , behind all the fantastic work the group does in regenerative agriculture. 🌱Besides being great at their job, they are fun people who know how to make a mean Mate in the morning and an outstanding Asado in the evening. Eight months ago, I knew very little about The Land Group and even less about regenerative agriculture. I had yet to learn about paddock rotations or adaptive grazing 🐮, what was grown in winter or summer, what pasture to feed cattle in an intensive or extensive system, or how to transform an extensive system into an intensive one. Eight months later - especially after the last 14 days - I understand a little more than nothing… maybe 33.3% 😉 I still have much to learn, but now feel better equipped to support the company and the great people who make things happen. Thank you to the team for this incredible journey and for helping me reach my humble 33.3%. For 2025, I can only wish for one thing: Vamo Arriba! ⬆️

🌎 Built to scale 🌎 Since 2017, The Land Group has operated farmland in Uruguay and Paraguay for our European investor clients. Today, I am thrilled to share that we plan to expand our activities to Argentina and Portugal in 2025 - two countries rich in agricultural opportunities. Portugal is a natural step for us, as Francisco Roque de Pinho and I spend much of our time in Lisbon. Argentina, however, holds a special place in my heart. I was born and raised in Mercedes, Uruguay, just 50 kilometres from the Argentinian border. My connection to Argentina deepened after marrying my Argentinean wife, Micaela, and forging strong bonds with friends, family, and colleagues across the country. Working in Argentina is familiar to us. Over the past seven years, we have managed one of our client’s strategic investments in an agricultural company that, at its peak, owned 90,000 hectares - most of it in Argentina. Our role included restructuring the company, transforming its business model, and overseeing a gradual asset disposal in a challenging local market. These experiences gave us invaluable insights into Argentina's historical difficulties and, conversely, its unique opportunities under Javier Milei’s new leadership. Argentina's agricultural sector presents immense investment opportunities. The country’s rich soils and plentiful water resources, combined with advanced farming practices and a renewed sense of optimism, create an ideal environment for sustainable and profitable agricultural ventures like ours. If you share our excitement about the future of Argentina and new agricultural opportunities, please get in touch. #AgricultureInvestment #SustainableFarming #Argentina #Portugal #FarmlandManagement #TheLandGroup

👨🌾 Ranching: The ultimate team sport We like our sports at The Land Group, whether football (Go Peñarol! 🟡⚫️), rugby, or big wave surfing. But most of the action happens in the fields during working hours. In this short clip, you will see Mariano and Federico skilfully catching and handling a sick cow to administer essential medicine. While this might look simple, it requires agility, endurance, quick thinking, and teamwork. The road to good farming practices often starts with a solid pair of running shoes and a lot of heart. ❤️ Federico Garcia Coccaro #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableFarming #AnimalWellbeing #Teamwork #TheLandGroup

Regenerative agriculture is more than an alternative method of producing food — it is a long-term investment strategy for resilience and impact. Our co-founder Francisco Roque de Pinho recently joined Paul Ellis on The Sustainable Finance Podcast to discuss the urgent need for sustainable agricultural solutions. In the episode, Francisco explores: 🌍 How adaptive grazing helps mitigate soil degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate risks. 🌱 Why resilient farming systems are key to feeding a global population set to reach 10 billion by 2050. 🌎 The massive potential Latin America holds for advancing climate adaptation and mitigation practices. Francisco also highlights the critical role of private capital in solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Tune in to the full episode to explore how institutional investors can strategically align their portfolios with regenerative agriculture for both impact and growth: https://lnkd.in/ezMFMdhv #SustainableFinance #RegenerativeAgriculture #ImpactInvesting #ClimateAction

Francisco Roque de Pinho, my guest on the next episode of The Sustainable Finance Podcast (SFP) began his career as a banker at Rothschild Wealth Partners before co-founding The Land Group in 2016, which is an independent and fully integrated real asset manager and farmland operator of 40,000 hectares in South America. The Land Group delivers strong financial returns and asset appreciation with €120 million of assets under management, and is now ramping up its focus on adaptive-grazing based approaches to regenerative agriculture. #regenerativeagriculture #realassetmanager #assetappreciation

Full immersion Every time I visit Uruguay, I make it a point to spend some time lying down among our cows and observe their reactions to seeing a human below their eye level. When they move to a new paddock, they are always very intent on grazing. But being curious and gentle animals, they do not take long to investigate something absurd, like me navigating their fresh dung on all fours. During my trip a couple of weeks ago, I filmed their inquisitive, amused, slightly puzzled reactions to this uninvited guest crashing their grazing party. The day before, I introduced this "ritual" to a prospective partner, and we both came away with more than we bargained for - a good laugh and a pair of freshly baptised shirts. Welcome to farming life! #RegenerativeFarming #SustainableAgriculture #FarmingLife #UruguayFarming #NatureConnection #HumourInFarming #CultivatingSustainableGrowth

🔄 Another morning, another rotation. This short video captures Mariano managing the very first rotation of the day at La Pilarica. 🌾 🧑🌾 Our team works tirelessly around the clock to implement regenerative grazing practices such as short, regular paddock rotations that allow soils to rest. These efforts improve soil health and productivity, driving profitability and sustainability in our farming operations. Do you also strive to cultivate sustainable growth? 🌱 #AdaptiveGrazing #Regenerative #RegenerativeAgriculture #CultivatingSustainableGrowth
