    Back to the Office? Let's Talk About It! With big tech companies like #Amazon, #Google, and #Meta pushing for a return to the office, I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Is this a step in the right direction, or is it just nostalgia for the water cooler?🧐 After 10 years of office life, I've found that technology has made us more flexible and mobile, rendering the traditional office obsolete. However, not everyone shares this point of view. For me personally, the ability to work with a remote team is a real advantage. It's just important to approach the process correctly. Here are a few things I've learned about a remote team management: 1️⃣ It's crucial that the team understands the company's strategy and goals. That's why we hold regular all-hands meetings, at least quarterly or whenever a significant change needs to be communicated to everyone🔄 In fact, during one of our quarterly strategy sessions, I began questioning how much I actually want to see my team in person more often. 2️⃣ We strive for asynchronous work. For each major project, we create a dedicated project page outlining the expected outcome, plan, and the responsible team. 3️⃣ Every team should have monthly/weekly and daily plans. 4️⃣ Develop your own rituals to stay aligned. We hold weekly and daily sync-up meetings. 5️⃣ Identify the primary tools to utilize for work. Avoid distraction from versatile messaging apps, trackers, CRM systems. Here’s a breakdown of our tools: ✔️Slack for real-time communication ✔️Jira as our task-tracking tool ✔️Confluence is where we manage our projects, and plans, and share knowledge. We are a #remotefirst company, but we recognize that working from home can be challenging for everyone. That's why we offer a one-time stipend to all new employees to purchase home office furniture and a discount of 50% on personal working equipment. And yet, as I sit here at the airport preparing for my next step, I’ve decided to test out opening a full-fledged office in Lisbon this September.     🔊The future of sound on advertisement: what #publishers need to know? Users are divided into two camps: some find sound on ads irritating and want to stop it immediately, while others casually hum ad jingles, unconcerned by their interruption of an article or video. Despite this, the demand for audio advertising—whether it's audio clips or sound on videos—is growing rapidly. 💰For advertisers, it’s a goldmine: sound strengthens the emotional connection with users and helps the brand be memorable. These formats are especially effective in the right context: podcasts, streaming services, and music platforms. But even news outlets should consider audio ads as an opportunity to create new touchpoints with their audience. ℹ️Back in April, #Google and #IAB TechLab announced a format split, dividing ads into In-Stream (sound on) and Accompanying content (sound off). It’s pretty obvious which inventory will be more expensive, right? An interesting situation is unfolding with CTV. Inventory here sells like hotcakes, and yet no one's obsessing over conversions. What's the catch? CTV isn't about performance metrics, but about reach and awareness, and it's important for publishers to consider this. 📲In mobile-first markets, users are more open to ads with sound. Here, smartphones are the main content consumption device. The key is balance: ads should be short, relevant, and not irritating.
