Twelve areas of festival production were assessed during the first stage of EDGE Network. This assessment, carried out by the independent and not-for-profit organization A Greener Future (AGF), analysed each of the festivals’ actions towards sustainability by conducting thorough onsite and offsite assessments on a number of variables. Based on the assessments carried out, AGF certified two of the festivals of the Network: #Tremor and #Keroxen. These assessments not only allowed for the calculation of each of the festivals’ carbon footprints, but also for the unprecedented collection of data on three small festivals from Mediterranean and Atlantic islands. By doing so, EDGE Network was able to put together a ‘List of Guidelines that Festivals on Islands can adopt to improve their sustainability journey’, now available on our website! We highlight 10 of the many measures included in this guide! Read more and download the guide at edgenetwork.com. #edgenetwork #tremor #fengaros #keroxen
Sobre nós
What unites those living on the edge? And what new solutions can perceived common issues and challenges originate? Uniting three boutique events operating in some of the peripheral territories of Europe - Azorean Tremor, Canarian Keroxen and Cypriot Fengaros, EDGE is a platform that blends different cultures, music genres, discussion themes and environmental concerns, to unroll a permanente debate and collaboration amongst its members. Starting from this platform, the network will develop an integrated group of actions that will work to promote artist circulation and environmental guidelines that can contribute to the implementation of actions at a local and global level. Artistic residencies, workshops and artist based content will be the three main guidelines on EDGE’s work.
