Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jurelis Torres and part of her team to Caribbean Scientific as she claimed her prize from the AAAS Women in Science Competition. Jurelis, who is currently contributing her expertise at the Centro Comprensivo de Cáncer de la Universidad de Puerto Rico / UPR Comprehensive Cancer Center in Río Piedras, had the opportunity to sit down with our Sales Manager and experience the full process of making her first lab purchase. Together, they selected an automatic pipette and glassware from Globe Scientific to support her important investigations. As an extra gesture, we also provided a box of gloves to assist with her daily lab tasks.
