About this app

Quickly capture what's on your mind and get a reminder later at the right place or time. Speak a voice memo on the go and have it automatically transcribed. Grab a photo of a poster, receipt or document and easily organise or find it later in search. Google Keep makes it easy to capture a thought or list for yourself and share it with friends and family.

Capture what's on your mind
• Add notes, lists and photos to Google Keep. Pressed for time? Record a voice memo and Keep will transcribe it so you can find it later.
• Take advantage of widgets on your phone and tablet and add tiles and complications to your Wear OS device to quickly capture your thoughts.
Share ideas with friends and family
• Easily plan that surprise party by sharing your Keep notes with others and collaborating on them in real time.
Find what you need – fast
• Colour and add labels to code notes to quickly organise and get on with your life. If you need to find something that you saved, a simple search will bring it up.
• Pin notes to your phone or tablet homescreen with widgets and add shortcuts to your notes with tiles on a Wear OS device.
Always within reach
• Keep works on your phone, tablet, computer and Wear OS device. Everything that you add syncs across all of your devices so your thoughts are always with you.
The right note at the right time

I've been using Keep for years and it was always perfect. However, I am not enjoying the new feature that requires you to select a note type when pressing the 'add' button. Text notes are going to be the note type the majority of the time so this feels like an unnecessary extra step. Please consider rolling it back to the previous behavior, or allow the user to select in their settings to have this feature enabled or disabled. Also, your email for support is no longer correct.

I have been using Keep for a long time and always loved the simplistic ability to create a note with one tap. This has changed and while I can see they attempted to make it easier to make notes with other content it has added extra step into the standard note creation process. I would love if you could revert this functionality in the settings but it appears you can't. Hopefully this gets fixed in the future!

New feature unnecessary and annoying. I use Google keep 20 times a day and I have for many years. All of a sudden, when I click plus to add a new note, it gives me a drop-down list of options: drawing, checklist, note etc. I just want to click plus and go immediately to my note. I don't want or need this extra step. Not sure how to change it in settings. Help appreciated, thank you.
