When I started working in the HR systems industry, I could not imagine how many different and unique absence and paid time off rules every country has. In Hungary, for example, annual leave days grow as you do! 🌱✨ Starting with a flat rate of 20 days, your holiday allowance increases with age. The eternal debate of whether HR needs to be soft or strict. 🤔 In my experience, finding the right balance is key. Being too soft might lead to leniency and lack of accountability, while being too strict can create a rigid and unapproachable work environment. So, how can we find that sweet spot? - Flexibility with Firmness: Encourage open communication and empathy while setting clear expectations and boundaries. -Tailored Approaches: Recognize that different situations call for different HR strategies. One size doesn't fit all! -Building Trust: Foster a culture of trust and respect, where employees feel comfortable approaching HR for support. -Continuous Feedback: Regularly seek feedback from employees to understand their needs and make necessary adjustments. I want to see more diversity and inclusiveness in the hiring process. Many companies are working towards this goal, but there's room for improvement. Diversity goes beyond gender, orientation, and nationality. From my experience as a recruiter and candidate, companies focus only on these 3 aspects. I recommend considering candidates' cultural backgrounds and communication styles. Look for missing skills your team needs and aim for a balance. Focus on the whole team dynamic, not just individual qualifications. By considering D&I in broader aspects, you can enhance team synergy and uphold your company values. You want your team to thrive? Consider a more holistic approach. 💫
