  • TrackSignal

TrackSignal it's a project allowing to track any object in building premises in real-time. The main functionalities are Asset Proximity List, Asset Real-time Position, Personnel Proximity List, Personnel Real-time Position and Shipment Real-Time Tracking.

In this project I'm responsible for making architectural decisions and implementing modules using Scala, Akka, Spark and AngularJS.

  • Java OBD Adapter Library

A library supporting connections to cars equipped with OBD sockets (generally speaking, all models made after 2003). This library is available on my github profile - https://github.com/devesion/java-obd-adapter. It supports many AT and OBD commands and is fully functional - I mean, you can read major sensor values and make use of them in your android app or any kind of java component.

I’ve tested it on my Raspberry Pi as well as Intel Edison and my laptop. In a physical layer I’ve been using bluetooth dongles (Vgate and some cheap noname), wifi dongle (Vgate) and wired serial connection. Everything worked well with dedicated Diamex simulator as well as my private car.

  • Łużycka+ Kiosk

Android kiosk travel board application created in an attempt to optimize getting to and from work for employees of the Łużycka Plus and Łużycka Office Park.

    Tasks:
    • gathering client requirements
    • creating several microservices supporting installed apps on stationary kiosks
    • creating a carpool REST API used by the android app
    • system provisioning using Ansible
    • bug fixes and maintenance

  • Activity Stream - event sourcing microservice

Live version of pytamy.pl - Activity Stream & Server Notifications

This project was my personal initiative that has been accepted by my client. The main goal of the project was to build scalable activity stream micro-service similar to Facebook stream. Besides choosing architecture and technologies I was responsibile for relational database migration to the new solution as well as participating as a head programmer and scrum master.

    Technologies used: java, cassandra, rest

  • Apache 2 module - mod_cband

I'm an author of mod_cband project, very popular Apache 2 module attached to many Linux Distros. Mod_cband can be used to solve the problem of limiting users’ and virtualhosts’ bandwidth usage. The current versions can set virtualhosts’ and users’ bandwidth quotas, maximal download speed (like in mod_bandwidth), requests-per-second speed and the maximal number of simultanous IP connections (like in mod_limitipconn).

  • Cloud Storage - dysk.wp.pl

In this project I was responsible for:
    * gathering client requirements
    * creating domain model using Domain-Driven Design approach
    * designing system architecture and choosing technologies
    * using strong cryptography to protect clients' resources
    * desing and implementation of particular scalable microservices - file system hierarchy based on S3 API, multimedia transcoding subsystem and integration between loosly coupled software components (using messaging), oauth authorization,…
