4 Tiers of Income As A Copywriter. If you’re a copywriter based in Pakistan, there are 4 levels of income you can tap into. So, without further ado, let’s dive right into it. Tier 1: Feast & Famine This is where you start out and work with local clients. You’ll find beginners on this tier the most. They get one-off projects and are often seen hunting clients and doing value posts that have 0 value. (It's okay, you will get better with time). Best way to get out of this loop is to go to platforms with low-hanging fruit. Tier 2: Pay Check to Pay Check This tier is better. It has more consistency but it has two issues. It’s a fixed job. You’re working with a local or a foreign agency that pays you meh… If you’re a writer hired by someone on a fixed salary, congratulations… You’ve decided to put a cap on your potential. No matter what you do, it might be difficult for you to get out of this but you can if you try hard. (If you want stability, this is the right way to go. These agencies can’t cage sharks and mammoths, they only hire beginners or intermediate writers). Tier 3: Look at me I’m Bussin' This is where you don’t go local, don’t get hired, and go straight out in the open market. The world of freelance platforms… Fiverr & Upwork. This is where you earn in dollars and can make up to $10k-$15k/month if you know what you’re doing. I started from this tier back in 2017. These are the people you see aggressively upgrading themselves and being ahead of the curve. (Tier 1 and 2, please get to this). Tier 4: The Copywriting Nirvana This is where you’ll find the best of the best. Creme de la creme of copywriters. They aren’t necessarily Gary Bencivenga’s but they are good. Better than others. It’s when you don’t have a job, don’t have one of the local projects, you spit on the name of Fiverr & Upwork, and work directly with WHALES (7-8 figure brands). You are on retainers. You work whenever you want. Take weekends off, work 4-5 hours a day max and make more money than anyone else. This is where you want to be. But getting here will require time, money and investment. So, the best route for you could be to start with tier 3 and enter 4 as soon as you have some money in the bank. Like share and comment so I keep posting more of this good stuff. Where you at? In fact, everyone who knows something about something can handle the second. Fun part is that even those who don't know about a certain skill can manage the delivery part because they can always find someone to do it for them. Which leaves us with Sales. If you crack this, you're golden. ✅You'll never run out of clients ✅You'll never have to face the feast and famine cycle ✅ You'll have a waitlist of people wanting to work with you So, how do you crack this? By being omnipresent. Chase them. Hound them. Be everywhere they go. Appear in their dreams. Make them think about you. In short, be UN-IGNORABLE. Here's how you become that: →Have a diverse social media presence →Have a well-rounded client acquisition strategy → Low-hanging fruit [Fiverrr, Upwork. These should be at least: → Entry-level writer: PKR 65,000 → Mid-level writer: PKR 75,000-80,000 → Senior-level writer: PKR 100,000-130,000 → Ebook writer (Junior): PKR 90,000-100,000 → Ebook writer (Senior): PKR 130,000-150,000 → Copywriter: PKR 100,000. Add per experience → Content Editor: PKR 150,000. Add per experience These numbers are still far less than what you earn by selling my words. Trust me, I know the math. √ I'm just making a reasonable and practical bargain. No, don't confuse me with those phony, pseudo, wanna-be AI writers. The rates I'm advocating are for writers who: → Research extensively → Write grammatically correct → Understand the guidelines → Create 100% original content → Create 100% organic content If I meet the criteria, you'll pay me what I deserve. I'll go the extra mile for you, do revisions, and make you happy. I'd expect you to reward me fairly—if not handsomely. √ If you find someone like me, quoting you less... Trust me, they're nothing like me. You can go ahead, assign them projects and regret later. I'll not compromise on the quality I deliver However, I'll also not compromise on my livelihood.
