    Sindh Bank is a commercial bank wholly owned by the Provincial Government of Sindh started running in losses during 2018 onwards. In September 2019, the bank engaged me as CEO/President to tackale the worsening situation thereby eroding equity of the bank due to internal as well as external challenges. The financials exibited weal operational and financial position. The Central Bank imposed certain embargos and also instructed for various corrective measures. The Provincial Cabinet as well as the Board of Directors gave a huge target of revamping the Bank for converting into profit. The process initiated by organising & motivating the Management Team who had already lost their confidence. On-boarding the 330 branches of which 75% were loss making. NPL portfolio was 44%. All buiness activity was synchronized and focus was put on servic quality for customers' satisfaction. Priorty was put upon raising customers' deposits, increse in Home Remittances, Trade Factory concept introduced for Import/Export business earnings, Treasury operations expanded with renewed relations with other banks locally and internationally, huge material and financil resouces to revamp Technology with induction of hardware and software on most emergent basis whichboosted the back bone of business modules through digitisation of customer services and product programs. Effective liaison with regulators, stakeholders and business partners and vendors. Cost cutting helped through wastage control and rationlising procument of good & services. Resultantly, losses started reducing, business flourished, ratings started improving, and opertional & financial ratios grew into desirable levels. The Bank finally made a profit in 2023 by the Bank which was considered to melt down into oblivion during 2019-20.
