We are excited to share news that Navantia UK is in negotiations for the purchase of Harland & Wolff. Navantia UK, Navantia, S.A., S.M.E's UK subsidiary, has started talks with the UK company Harland & Wolff to acquire its shipyards in #NorthernIreland (#Belfast ), #England (#Appledore ) and #Scotland (#Methil and #Arnish ), and ensure compliance with the Fleet Solid Support (#FSS ) shipbuilding programme in a market as important as the #UK. Got to love these ships! It's been such a privilege to witness these ships go from raw steel to becoming the most lethal warships the Royal Australian Navy has ever had. The Hobart class guided missile destroyers (DDGs) are truly an #Australian success story.
