Trudy Fields was found dead in her Robertson County, Ky., home on Oct. 9, the Kentucky State Police said in a statement at the time. The victim’s daughter, 32-year-old Torilena May Fields, was initially arrested and charged with obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse, per police. On Oct. 14, KSP upgraded the charges to include murder as well as torture of a dog or cat, per their statement. Daughter Arrested After Authorities Find Mom's Dismembered Remains and Unidentified Body Parts Cooked in Pot: Police FOX 56 reports that Torilena was an aspiring actress who appeared in the movies The Desert Project and A Dance Story under the stage name Naomi Navarre. The IMDB page and Amazon Prime Video for her stage name shows she was the lead actress in The Desert Project, a 2019 film. Andoni Zorbas, who was the director, producer and actor of A Dance Story, told FOX 56 that Torilena was "every director’s dream to have to work with on set." "Whenever I think of her I think of happiness. I think of laughter; I think of positivity; I think of strength,” Zorbas said. “Because she was very tough." Zorbas said he was unaware of the actress' real name. He also told the outlet that he was under the impression she had a great relationship with her mother. Naomi Navarre. Naomi Navarre/Instagram Trudy's dismembered body was found on Oct. 9 by a man she had hired for work around her property, WKYT, the Courier Journal and LEX 18 reported, citing KSP officials. The man notified authorities and later told them that the day prior, he was at the residence when the suspect was allegedly "casting spells on them and being confrontational," an arrest citation stated, according to the Courier Journal, LEX 18 and FOX 19. Inside the residence, officers found body parts that appeared to have been "cooked" in an oven, inside a pot that was still warm, WKYT, the Courier Journal and FOX 19 reported, citing an arrest citation and unspecified court records. Torilena's family told FOX 56 in a separate interview that she suffered a brain injury after a motorcycle accident in California and may have returned to Kentucky to be with her mother. They expressed sorrow over Trudy's death as well as Torilena's situation. “How do you say, ‘I’m so sad, and I want justice for my family member? But I’m so sad because is my other family member not OK?'” her cousin Olivia Brock said, per FOX 56. It wasn't immediately clear if Torilena has entered a plea or retained an attorney to speak on her behalf. Close
