Sundance Head Wins Season 11 Of 'The Voice' !

Congratulations, Sundance Head!

As the breakout artist of season 11, Head was crowned winner of The Voice on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old celebrated his victory by singing his original single “Darlin’ Don’t Go,” and gave a special shout-out to his wife by shouting, “Misty Head she’s the true champion!”

Head’s win marks the fifth victory for veteran coach Blake Shelton—making him the top mentor with a record-breaking number of wins.

Although the evening featured a duet by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande, and performances by Sting, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd—Head stole the show with his collaboration of “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock & Roll All Night” with KISS.

Known for his big personality, and even bigger heart, Head stunned audiences week after week with his originality in performances of classics like Etta James’ “At Last,” The Judds’ “Love Can Build A Bridge” and even rival coach Alicia Keys’ “No One.”

Head follows in the footsteps of his musician father Roy Head, famously known from the band The Traits. He hails from Texas, where his wife manages all of his gigs. Throughout the show, Head opened up about his brother dying in a tragic car accident several years ago.

The country crooner tried his luck on American Idol but didn’t make it past the Top 16 in season six of the competition. Now it’s his turn to take home the gold—and major record deal.

“It’s been really important for me to be able to come into your living room,” Head told PEOPLE after Monday’s show. “I just hope that I bring joy to you when you listen to my music.

In fourth place was Josh Gallagher, third place was Wé McDonald and runner-up was Billy Gilman.
