The conservative voice on ABC’s The View for the last decade is headed to Fox’s daytime talk show Fox & Friends, replacing Gretchen Carlson, who’ll be getting her own daytime Fox show in the fall. Her last day on The View is Wednesday. “We will miss her and wish her everything good,” View co-host and executive producer Barbara Walters said in a statement. ABC said that Hasselbeck brought “her passion and strong beliefs to The View” and “stood behind her political views even if they were not the most popular opinions at the table.” Speculation about Hasselbeck’s departure began last March with rumors her political views would force her removal. Walters later shot it down as a “particularly false story.” Hasselbeck becomes the latest longtime member of the show to leave, joining Joy Behar, who made her exit announcement earlier this year.
