It seemed wrong to send someone home on a night when everyone got a 10 or two, but there can only be three couples in Tuesday’s Dancing with the Stars finale.

Even though she was partnered with repeat winner Derek Hough, YouTube star Bethany Mota was the latest hoofer to leave the ballroom.

“I discovered things about myself, things I thought I could never do,” Mota said. “I never thought I’d be this far in the competition. To be in the finals was the best thing ever.”

Added Hough: “I’m so proud of her. It’s been an incredible season. I’m very proud to be a part of a show that showcases a difficult art form like dance. She’s an amazing role model.”

Here is how the rest of the night played out ahead of Tuesday’s finale:

JUDGES’ PICKS

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough. The YouTube star kept perfect timing with her perfect pro during a Taylor Swift-tuned jive. “You ve grown into a very beautiful woman!” said judge Julianne Hough. Score: 36 out of 40

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas. The Duck Dynasty star donned the feathers again in a samba that paid tribute to the family business. “The quack pack is celebrating,” said judge Bruno Tonioli. “But a couple of times you were slightly behind in the timing.” Score: 38

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy. The injury-plagued Pretty Little Liars actress wore some medical tape and had an achy-breaky side during their bouncy samba. “Girl, you are warrior dancer,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “What I did [get] was great rhythmic dancing,” said judge Len Goodman. Score: 37

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson. Those previous weeks of injuries were but a distant memory as the actor sizzled with his fun jive. “You set the bar from day one with that dance,” said Inaba. “I don’t know how it was so much better than the first time!” Score: 40

FREESTYLE ROUND

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough. Mota rocked this hard-core, industrial-like dance with a bunch of in-sync backup dancers. “That is a five-star freestyle,” said Goodman. “No one was under-dancing to make you look good,” added Inaba. Score: 40

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas. The reality star popped in a super send up of the Super Mario video game. “That was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” Hough said. “Super Sadie, that was refreshing!” Score: 40

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy. The actress slowed it down with her shirtless partner in a smooth and effortless number that was sealed with a kiss. “It was just the two of you, no messing around. It combined athleticism with artistry,” said Goodman. Score: 40

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson. Ribeiro pulled out the tap shoes for a surprise – and superior – swing dance. “That’s how you tap your way to the top!” said Tonioli. Score: 40
