Both Dr. Mehmet Oz and his daughter Daphne Oz walked away with Daytime Emmy wins Sunday after the father and daughter were nominated in the same two categories. Daphne, 30, and her The Chew team took home took home the outstanding talk show statue, while Dr. Oz, 55, won outstanding informative talk show host for The Dr. Oz Show. “so proud of my dad @DrOz on his best host Emmy win tonight!! love you,” Daphne wrote on Twitter, while Dr. Oz congratulated his daughter, tweeting, “Very well deserved!” Ahead of the ceremony, the pair spoke to PEOPLE about competing in the same categories. “We are judged by how we improve the world. And the most important thing we do to improve it is to raise kids who are contributing. So I’m very proud of Daphne, mostly because of the two beautiful grandchildren she’s given us,” Dr. Oz said. With Kelly & Michael for outstanding entertainment talk show hosts, with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan‘s win coming soon after the news that Strahan would be exiting the show for a job on Good Morning America.
