Viola Davis

Viola Davis is an American actress. Her most well-known role is as Annalise Keating in the TV show How to Get Away With Murder. She was on the show from 2014 to 2020 and won an Emmy Award in 2015 for her work. She's earned Oscar nominations for her roles in Doubt (2008), The Help (2011), Fences (2016) and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020). She won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Fences. Davis has also starred in the Broadway productions of King Hedley II (2001) and Fences (2010) and won Tony Awards for both. Davis married actor Julius Tennon in 2003. The two adopted a daughter in 2011, and Davis is also stepmother to Tennon's two children. She is vocal about fighting childhood hunger and has donated to related causes over the years, citing her own upbringing in poverty as her motivation.
