Mary Steenburgen

Mary Steenburgen is an American actress and singer-songwriter. She first gained recognition playing Amy Robbins in the 1979 film Time After Time. Steenburgen's major leading roles include 1981's Ragtime, 1993's Philadelphia, 2003's Elf, 2008's Step Brothers, 2009's The Proposal and 2018's Book Club. In 1981, she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Melvin and Howard.
