Stepping onto the field in a tan blazer, black shirt beaded fringe jeans and a giant belt buckle, the country legend, 68, delivered a moving rendition of the national anthem. Kevin Mazur/Getty All About the 2024 Super Bowl Performers, from Usher to Reba McEntire Earlier in the day, McEntire rocked a blue furry coat, jeans and blue cowboy boots for a monochromatic look, but she swapped it all out before hitting the field. On Jan. 18, the NFL revealed the pregame performance lineup that will lead into the highly anticipated championship match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. The “Fancy” singer would sing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” followed by Post Malone performing “America the Beautiful” and Andra Day closing with “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” With the announcement, McEntire released a press statement expressing how “honored” she was to partake in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. "2024 marks 50 years since I was discovered singing the National Anthem at the National Finals Rodeo," she continued in the statement. “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate that anniversary.” Continuing her run of good news, on Jan. 29, NBCUniversal confirmed that McEntire will return to television for a sitcom series, 17 years after her hit self-titled sitcom.
